What was the last movie you watched?

Saw Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing, Missouri.

It is an intense movie full of hate-driven, stupid people doing hateful stupid things.

Not a bad movie, really, but difficult to watch. Not share it is worth the effort.

Midnight Express. It is a good movie I guess. John Hurt is always a pleasure to watch, and I had to do a double take when I saw Randy Quaid without a gut. I hate how Alan Parker ended it. Same as with Birdy. Not the most elegant of endings.

Finally watched Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2. Marvel's done a great job making a not very core part of the comic marvel universe into a very watchable film.
I couldn't even finish the first one. I liked Logan though. It's getting harder for me to watch Superhero movies I find enjoyable. I feel the genre has been overexploited.

"Darkest Hour"

Strongly character-driven drama of Winston Churchill's anguish. Gary Oldman can start writing his Oscar speech.

Watched Dallas Buyers Club (2013). Enjoyed it. An affecting tale about an electrician and hustler (Matthew McConaughey) who is diagnosed with HIV in 1985 at the start/height of the epidemic, and decides to work around the system to make drugs available to fellow patients. Impressive performances from McConaughey and Jared Leto which won them Oscars for best lead and bust supporting actor, and some other good showings as well, such as from Jennifer Garner. And it's a true story, bruh.

Couldn't get any empathy for the character for some reason. Call me a bad person.

Watched Arrival (2016) and A Christmas Carol (2009) during the last 2 days. Arrival tried too hard to be clever. The film raised a couple of academic points about language. One of which is the theory that language, it's vocabulary and the ideas/constructs it is able to express, shape the way a person/species thinks and behaves. All the points might just be enough to write a synopsis for an introduction to the subject.

Get Out (2017) - Interesting to start with but a slightly disappointing end. I am told it is doing well in the States.
I suppose there is a lot of stuff that is lost on non-American audiences.

Last Jedi, great movie, 4/5 stars

We'll win this not by fighting what we hate but by saving what we love
actually that quote doesn't make sense. if they don't fight the dark side and just run away with their loved ones all the time,,,,,then they would eventually lose.................LOL

It was probably geared more towards a teenage audience, but the playable characters being so different to the ones waiting in the real world was pretty funny at times, kind of like those body swap films (Big, Freaky Friday etc..), coupled with the Jumanji elements. I'd say it was a fun way to spend a few hours.

That was actually a great movie! It was pretty insane how the black men were able to completely snap out of the hypnosis through just a camera flash.

I just watched Home Alone and Home Alone 2 for the Christmas kick of it. This is literally the 30th time I've watched these movies, they simply never get old. Home Alone 3-5 were horrendous though. It's a shame what has happened to Macaulay Culkin though, he got famous at such a young age and simply couldn't handle the spotlight which ended up ruining his adult career.

Read Jordan Peele will re-boot The Twilight Zone for CBS
Yea I heard. I actually couldn't believe Get Out was Peele's first movie, the deep/chilling messages, and overall content of the movie already surpasses several seasoned directors who also work the mystery/thriller genre IMO. Since he's still new in the industry, let's see if he can keep producing epic movies like Get Out.

Well this is my opinion, but when the black guy at the party reacted to the flash, he began to yell at Chris to GET OUT in a very disturbing way, and it wasn't till the end of the movie where you began to understand why he did that and I was like s**t, that was deep and messed up when I thought about it. For me, it was the type of movie that got me thinking a bit you know.
