Currently sitting for breaking dawn to start with my girlfriend
Wild Target (2010)
found it browsing on netflix.. surprisingly good
Thor and Green Lantern. I don't know why I keep getting these movies and thinking they'll be any good. But redbox is only a buck so no big deal.
Going to watch Facing The Titan's right now
Talking about wine, you have to discuss it with poster SOBAD. He is an expert in this.
The Town-an action/drama that both my wife and I enjoyed. It's a fun ride.
The town. It is well made, well plotted, excellent performance by Ben and others. Two thumbs up
Not what I expected. It has some car chases, but it is really more like Scorsese's After Hours crossed with The Departed. Definitely has an eerie mood to it.
An excellent movie.
good movie, reminds me of Cinema Paradiso
beautiful to watch in 3D
It is much better than Green Lantern.
The Age of Stupid
Just saw Requiem For A Dream. It was mind-blowing.
who is the player in your display pic ?
What a great film... What could have been so bad is potentially one of the best sport films ever made.
It's Michael and Justine's wedding night, and a newly discovered planetoid may be about to collide with Earth. If you immediately perceive the symbolism here, you're ready to sit through the long and slow "Melancholia," a film that can only be experienced on a level of intense symbolic imagery and actions. Everyone left the theatre shaking their heads and looking confused.
I loved Thor
Last thing I saw was the new Twilight movie. I really liked it actually.
I have heard of this guy, is he the one who cried in Australia ?
haha, saw that today with the gf. it was surprisingly better than the surprisingly good sequel.
saw limitless on netflix the other day. good movie
With that title you were forewarned.
^^ "Insomnia" (Pacino and Swank) didn't sound promising either, but was a pretty run-of-the-mill suspense film.
I saw DRIVE yesterday night.
What a great fkin movie.
A classic. Great score. Great story. Awesome acting. Movie of the year imo.
It was a bit weird, but okay.
Haha the best part was when he karate chopped the midget!!!
^^^ Colin Farrell gets my vote for most underappreciated actor. Great bewildered thug/lover in this film, macho technocrat in "Minority Report," country singer in "Crazy Heart," hilarious boss's son in "Horrible Bosses," performs well "on any surface."
Saw "Transformers 3" last night with my 13 year old nephew.
While he enjoyed the movie I got bored really quick.
While the Fx were incredible (on BD on a high-def TV), it lacked anything when it comes to storytelling and character developing.
Furthermore I missed Miss Fox in it, she was the highlight of parts 1 and 2.
Miss Fox ... this reminds me of :
Captain America, great, far better execution than Green Lantern or Thor but it's no Hamlet.
I liked Green Lantern. Brotherly love looked cool even though action was not perfect.
Oh man, When I saw Megan F. in the first Transformer, I couldn't believe my eyes. She was absolutely breathtaking. Now she is trying to be like Angelina Jolie? Why? I don't like A. Jolie at all. I try not to watch the movies she is in.
megan fox isnt that attractive.
but i enjoyed transformers. prob because it had giant robtos
Vertigo.. a classic.
Sort of a serious High Anxiety?
Seriously, they are all good except the first one, it was horrible to me.
2010:The Year we make Contact (1984) -What a flaming bag of dog-poop that was, in comparison with Kubrick's 2001.
Drive was easily the worst movie i have ever seen...
just saw the movie 'last night' starring keira knightley and sam worthington.
was disturbing in many ways
Funny, while I liked the vehicle and set design in Captain America, I didn't like the movie that much. Just seemed like not much happened - spent to much time on that U.S. Bonds tour, felt like the action only kicked in in the last 15 mins.
I like Thor better. It was a little goofy, but it seemed to not take itself too seriously.
Green Lantern is sitting at home. Haven't watched it yet.
Anyway, currently watching limitless. I'm about half-way through. Prob watch the rest later this week.
Have to agree with you about "Drive." Wife makes me see anything with Gosling, this film set his career back a bit.
Yeah, I'm sure you'd turn her down if she approached you in a bar. :/
lol that was good one. But I think Zapvor is female so she wouldn't be attracted to another female unless she is Lesbian:mrgreen:
Agree, butt Melissa McCarthy, booyah!
Not sure if people will recognize her in the bar unless she always has a make up artist and a photoshop geek with her all the time...
Melancholia. Beautiful film. Incredible acting.
Saw 'Immortals' yesterday.
Summary: steaming pile of rubbish.
You'd be better off watching something good in this sort of genre like the Game Of Thrones TV servies..
The one by Von Trier? His movies are usually emotionally draining.
Yup, Lars' newest movie. A bit more mature than his previous work, I think.
lol i wouldnt turn her down. but shes way overrated. and i would be after her bank account not her looks. theres about 205726752105025712 more attractive girls out there
thor was better than i thought. captain america sucked. green latern too. limitless was ok
