I also highly recommend Primal Fear btw. I really think you will like it. Just please don't watch the trailer.
I mean look at the Alien trailer. If I'd have seen it I'd have never watched the film.
That's the idea though? Because it doesn't give away anything. When the trailers make you want to watch the film, that's when you know they won't be good, generally speaking.
Trailers never make me want to watch films.
That's fine but you do watch trailers. And I believe you didn't mind SLY and SLP trailers all that much.
Which did you like best?
For me it's probably 3 because I adore Bonnie.
For me, it's 3rd due to emotional factor. Although I watched them all at one go, many kids who has grown up watching the first two would have felt emotional since the gap between 2nd & 3rd is 11 years. I guess many were in Andy's shoes.
Are you a fan of animated movies in general? Which others do you like?
I am a fan of fantasy movies. I can't pick one particular animated movie since I like them all. But I like Timon and Pumbaa and Ben 10 television series the most. The recent movies that I have watched Toy Story films, Despicable Me 3 and Moana. Though I have planned to watch a few of them like The Lion Kings, Shrek and the rest of the Despicable Me. What else do you suggest? What kind of movies do you like?
Rubbish. Just watch it for my sake and then you can give me grief later as usual; that is, if you don't like it.
I like a lot of animated movies.. it's probably the type of movie that has the highest chance of satisfying me lol.
You can't go far wrong with The Lion King, or most Walt Disney classics for that matter. Still a lot for me to catch up on and I really want to watch Moana so I might get around to that soon. I HIGHLY recommend How to Train Your Dragon. Kung Fu Panda is a lot of fun too.
Oh that "I have watched something good and I want to share it with someone" feeling.
I will add How to Train Your Dragon and Kung Fu Panda to my list then. And you really should watch Moana with this man voicing for one of lead characters.
@-NN- Good to see someone like animation movies against "grown ups should not watch kid's movies" stereotyping.
I've already watched three of her recommendations in the last week or two so what more does she want?
I'll watch Moana soon enough and get back to you.
You should be thankful for the rest of your life for SLP. I kept my promise. I made you cry here, there and everywhere. Mission accomplished.
Lol! No shame in disliking the Star Wars universe. Episodes 1,2,3 put a bad taste in my mouth but they did that for everyone. I've watched the recent Star Trek movies, enjoyed them but still lost at certain times. It is a good movie and very well done, but I think I started watching very late at night and after watching that far I put it off, because I felt I needed to go to bed and finish it the next day, and for some reason, I could never find the time to finish it. I know it sounds rather lame but funny story, I am also hiding from my co-worker Sheriff who is also after me for not finishing it. lmho!
I really promise that one of these days I will finish it.
Gawd, I could never watch Star Wars and I've made so many failed attempts. Star Trek more aligns with my ideas (or the way I think) whereas Star Wars just feels plain dumb. I never get it. lol
Teaser trailers do make the best trailers. I've been going to the movies often ever since I got this movie pass and let me tell you how sick I am of watching the same old trailers so I've learned to get to the movies about 10-15 mins after movie start time unless it's a big movie where seats will be scarce haha. Why did you watch the trailer? I never do. I tend to cook up my own plot after watching the trailer and then when I actually watch the film, I find it so different than what I'd imagined, so that sort of ruins it.
Mother! is a very difficult movie to watch. I wonder if it affected Jennifer Lawrence mentally somehow. Wasn't an easy performance by any means.
They say Alien had the best trailer of all time. I tend to agree.
There are so many more I want to watch though. I guess my list is 50 or so long? And I know I'm going to love most of them. For starters, I want to complete the classic Walt Disney catalogue as well as the Studio Ghibli catalogue, so that alone is probably 30-40 movies. I haven't seen any of the classics from Walt Disney after Mulan other than Atlantis, and look how many have been released since 1998/2001.

"Missing" was interesting, intense.Started Missing (1982) with Jack Lemmon and Sissy Spacek. Historical drama about a journalist who goes missing in Chile.

Just watched Marshall tonight. Great movie, highly recommended. Put it on your list!

Started Fair Game (2010) with Naomi Watts and Sean Penn. Biographical based on autobiographies of a CIA agent and her diplomat husband.

But if you go in 10-15 minutes after the movie start time, aren't you running the risk of missing those moments? I can see getting away with a rom com but well built and serious movies tend to have all scenes really well crafted and leaves a lot of clues in every scene. Or do you mean the trailers just before the movie starts that tend to go on forever? Then that's brilliant though I won't take the risk because I like a nice seat! One of my EXs had the tendency to run late in movies and that would always **** me off and it especially pissed me off one time when we couldn't get any decent seats, so had to take one those very front seats where you basically have to look up to the screen in order to see the movie and that night I remember coming home with a stupid neck pain.
Will check out Marshall, yes. Looks to have a dashing story.

Yup. Now busy quoting youAre you busy quoting yourself? Awww...
Spot-on. Arrive 10-15 after start time. Not a second too early.
Fair Game was interesting, too. Scooter Libby, Karl Rove, a 500 tonne sale of yellowcake uranium, aluminum tubes for enrichment, and of course the Bush administration and Iraq.

Sounds very interesting. Strange that I would have missed it considering I have seen a bunch of movies from that region (actually Iran). Must get it.Have you seen The Kite Runner? it's so good.
Hahaha that reminds me, I had a friend that used to be a stoner. He had to smoke up before every movie we went to. The movie would be starting at 10pm and he'd be like yo I need to smoke and I look at the time, it's 9:55 and we are at least 10 mins away. What's worse is I don't smoke and we would miss the first 5 mins of every movie!!!!!!!! Arghhhhh. But thankfully he's given up that lifestyle lol.But if you go in 10-15 minutes after the movie start time, aren't you running the risk of missing those moments? That's why he's an EX. You choose your priorities
I saw Blade Runner today, it was good. I think I was tired so I may have been close to dozing off but I still managed to watch it all and enjoy it.
