What was the most disappointing racket for you?

Even though it's my match day stick, the RF97. Despite making my OHBH better and having more defensive power than a mid, it swings like it has a parachute behind it on the forehand wing and it guts my forehand's offensive capabilities compared to my PS90s. I use it over my PS90s when I'm playing league matches because the RF97 is a floor raiser, but unless I'm playing a crafty all-court game, it lowers my ceiling as well because I can't bomb forehands with it the way I can with the PS90.

The PS97s (supposedly Dimitrov's racket). It hit all the right spots with the spec, but I hated it as it shook like a bellydancer, didn't matter how I tried to juice it with lead or string changes.

Interesting. The V1 or V2? My V2 is still one of my favourite feel racquets, and I've never felt anything but solidity from it.

Speed MP - tried 2024 black MP version and a specd up MPL. MP was sluggish and launchy/inconsistent. Felt like a bad power racket rather than a tweener. MPL had an unusable TW and wasn’t even usable as a platform racket.

Rad MP - felt like you took a blade and brought down the spin, stability, and control - but replaced it with a cool sound.

Yonex Ezone 100 2025. The racket was so numb that I didn't have any feel of the ball. Blade 100 V9 comes to my mind as well as the 104.
The EZ100 is very string sensitive. Shaped and muted strings are horrendous. Confidential Soft in that frame was the worst paring I've ever tried. With the right string though, it can be magic, even on touch shots.

Vcore 95, never shanked so much with a racquet. only played with it for like 15 mins or so but was crazy.

I was never disappointed in a racquet's on-court performance. As some of you may know, I do a lot of research before I buy a racquet. So the playability has always been as I expected. My only disappointment came from comfort issues. Vcore 95 2021 - wrist. Pure Strike Tour 3g - elbow. TF40 305g 18x20 v3 - shoulder.

I’m gonna go “old school” for you in this one: Yonex Ultimum RD Ti-50 Long:

I had been using the RD Power 10 Long for a few years, and thought this was the next incarnation. It wasn’t. I gave it a solid 3 months before I gave up and went back to my RD Power 10 Longs.

Yonex EZone 100
This racket has no feel whatsoever. You hit the ball - you do not even recognize that you hit the ball LOL.
No idea where the ball flies after you hit the ball
:-D
That's my issue with the modern Yonexes I've tried. Functional but characterless.
Even the beautiful green and gold VCore Pro HD did not feel great which was very surprising, I really wanted to like that one.

Percept 97 has to be it for me. Should work great for me, but it just felt too clunky and unpredictable. I don’t think it’s a bad frame, I just couldn’t mesh with it no matter what I did

Racquets

Gravity is the worst noodle from Head, after owning most Prestige racquets this was a shocker that needs lots of weight yet still flutters against heavy incoming balls
and only racquet that balls die and float after the bounce even with 360gsm and 380sw was not getting the penetration even an old 6.1 95" provides at equal weight/sw.

Shift absolute excrement and Arod was promoting it as a disruptor when its nothing like the Redline where actual players got to develop it over time before its release.
Good lesson learnt by Wilson.

Yonex last Ez and Blade V9 both ultimate legends in wet piece of wood department, in an era where feeling is key Yonex is going backwards since the Xi98

might as well add PJs.

Babolat Aero pj (great racquets otherwise) since the pinked out boy george 80s shirts to the yellow grey child grafitti dogs breakfast of Madonnas 80s rags.

best PJs Wilson hands down

Nordicdots 98 Pro. I so wanted to love this racquet, but they made it incredibly sliggish by designing it with such a thick throat.

I demoed a Speed MP Legend and I was convinced beforehand that it was going to be a great fit for me. It felt completely dead and unresponsive. Could have been the demo strings, but I was kind of relieved that I could take it off my list.

1. Head Boom Pro Auxetic 1.0: hit 10 minutes with it. Horrible in every possible way. Sold

2. Head Extreme Tour G360+: balls never pass the service box no matter how you hit. Extremely underpowered. Needs tons of lead to hit any meaningful ball. Unfortunately no one wants to buy them.

3. Head Gravity Pro Auxetic 2.0: a bowl of ramen noodles.

4. Head Speed Pro Auxetic 1.0: zero character. Bad maneuverability. Unstable.

5. Head Speed Pro Auxetic 2.0: twists, bends, flexes. Another bowl of ramen noodles.

6. Texhnifibre TFX-1 v2: horrible feel, bad maneuverability.

7. Pure Aero 100 2023: I know people swear by this, but it's launchy, lacks control, and it gave me rotator cuff issues. Sometimes I have to fight the other player and this racket at the same time.

After playing a Head Tgt 293.1 I tried the Youtek IG Prestige Pro. Big difference, the retail is very stiff with smaller sweet spot. Both of them were coustomized to almost same specs.

Mine is the 2022 VCore Pro 97, literally an anti-power racquet. The prettiest racquet I’ve ever owned, thin beam, was just so sexy to look at and hold.

Control on BHs and OHs was really nice. But my FH and serve were like hitting through water.

I played it for a year, it was such a good looking racquet, I also thought it felt really great, but it just lacked pop

Probably Blacked Out P98. I was expecting another great Wilson Pro Stock instead I got a retail feeling Spinny Pro Staff that just neutered my shots. At least the P100 made me do a double take. Definitely will be a good line from Wilson with the 98 or 100 being able to capture a wider range of players.

I have no problem with Speed MP Graphene XT version though

Funny thing.

I have tried so hard to like the aero line of babolats and the ezone line of Yonexes. I just can't despite a lot of my friends swearing by them. (I just swear AT them)

Absolutely the Wilson Ultra 97 16x19. Way to light even for a platform stick and could never get it where I wanted it. Also, the pro labs blade pros. Why!? Why put all the weight at the head?!
