This was one of the most entertaining majors ever with all top 20 women seeds reaching the 3rd round for the first time ever. It also was 1 short of tying the record of having the most 5-setters in a major. What were the most entertaining matches at the 2021 U.S. Open for you? If one of your favorites didn't make the poll, list it in the comments. Here are some other matches that didn't make the poll:

Alcaraz vs. Stefanos was the best. Then Maria vs. Bibi was also really good.

Came here to say Men's Final but was beaten to the punch.

Most entertaining set was first set of Djokovic-Brooksby.

In all seriousness, Brooksby-Fritz deserves some mention. Brooksby was in full-on lunatic mode, showing all his eccentricities, and it was hilarious (and the tennis was good too, if not pretty). On one game point, Brooksby smashed an overhead and before it even landed in the stands he had sprinted to his chair, sat down, and started chowing on dates. That was some funny ish. I was hoping for more clownishness against Novak to drive him nuts, but Brooksby was much more subdued, even before running out of gas in the second set.

I chose Alcaraz defeats Tsitsipas in the third round. So much drama, so much excitement! I screamed so loud at the end that I scared my neighbors! For me that was the match that had everything!

I loved the women's final, which for me was the second best and the best of the women's matches. Even though Emma won in two sets the battle was fierce! Leylah Fernandez was tenacious! But Emma was amazing!

I loved the men's final but mostly because I had predicted Medvedev would win in 3 sets and I wanted Medvedev to win his first Grand Slam.

I didn't see all the matches but the best that I saw was the Rogers v Barty. I wanted Barty to win the tournament and she is still my favorite pro. But it was a really an inspiring match.

Plisimova and Alcapas for me.

Zverev-Djokovic had too lame a final set, Sakkari and Andreescu pretty boring tennis, pretty lame finish, and unbearable Sakkari noises. Cressy and Busta was amusing.

Vesely and Anderson the underrated one that deserves to be here. Botic-Medvedev very entertaining for its last couple of sets.

Yes, that was a great match! It was for me the second best comeback match of the tournament - Alcaraz coming back after Tsitsipas got the bagel in the fourth set to win a tiebreak in the fifth was the best comeback, but Shelby Rogers changing her game plan, winning 5 games in a row and then winning in the tiebreak was definitely the best comeback on the women's side of the tournament!

For me, Djokovic vs Zverev SF was entertaining, but mostly because of that 53 shot rally.
Fernandez vs Osaka/Kerber/Svitolina/Sabalenka run was also entertaining as well.

The Barty-Rogers final set was great, but the first two sets were so lopsided, they weren't that interesting and so didn't make the cut for the poll.

I picked one male, one female...Tsitsipas-Alcaraz and Svitolina-Fernandez. I'm not sure if I wouldn't have picked Kerber-Fernandez if that was available, I actually liked that one better.

I would say you have missed couple of other good women's matches....Bogdan-Masarova R1 was an utterly crazy match and it was officially the longest women's match in USOpen history at 3hr 40 mins(alongside Mertens match)...there were some insane rallies in that match. Also, I think Kerber-Leylah deserves mention...Leylah kinda peaked from middle of 2nd set until the end and played some insane tennis.

Also, based on poll results so far, I feel like lot of people have missed the matches which happened late night. Some of the best women's matches in this tournaments had very late finish. Sakkari-Andreescu wasn't the best match quality wise but it had unbelievable drama which you rarely see. Pliskova-Anisimova also had a late finish and it was pretty good quality and also great drama.

Frankly, drama in a match is more entertaining than just seeing high-quality play. Of course they are best together.

I only saw the first set of the Andreescu-Sakkari match - fell asleep and woke up to find out that Sakkari had won it! It was on too late at night where I live to watch the whole match. I did watch a number of matches in their entirety on Tennis Channel when they would re-broadcast them but missed that particular one.

WTA>ATP. Voted Fernandez/Svitolina #1 but saw multiple choices so I threw in Plishkova and the Fucsovics match because 15-13 in the last set tiebreak any way you dice is mental. Andy Murray match would be 4th, just the drama and Murray's vigilance was awesome.
