From all I have read about them and the very bit I have seen in footage of them playing.
Helen Wills- She was super steady, rarely made mistakes. She hit very hard off the ground from both sides, but especialy the forehand. Very strong serve, especialy her slice serve. Not that graceful, and not a great mover. Didnt come in much, but was super solid on a first volley or overhead when she did.
Suzanne Lenglen- Moved gorgeously, all court game, super at both the net and backcourt. Didnt hit the biggest, but had amazing tactical sense, and placement, and each ball seemed to come back in a slightly harder spot and put her opponent in a worse spot.
