What would be best for tennis

Forgetting any personal player likes or dislikes, what would be best for tennis over the rest of the season? And why?

A) Djokovic wins the Grand Slam

B) The big 3 split the remaining majors

C) The next 3 majors are won by new names?

Depends who they play in the finals.

As much as I want to see the new guys step up, the best quality tennis is still when the Big 3 play each other, and I'd like to savor it for as long as it lasts. Australia was an anomaly because Rafa never should've been there to begin with.

But off course, when Djokovic beats somebody (even someone like Rafa!) in straight sets in grand slam final - its anomaly! LOL If it was the other way around - its Rafa it tremendous newfound form! Notice how this wasn't rhetorics leading up to their final match at AO this year around these boards, but now that he suffered "devastating" straight set loss it IS all of a sudden? LMAO

us open surface is retroed back to the 90s, wimbledon goes back to the old grass, smaller faster tennis balls are standardized across events, and finally, all events in the post US open hardcourt season switch to indoor carpet and are played indoors
Talk about living in the past! Do we bring back wooden racquets as well?

nope same modern racquet technology. i'm just talking about surface variety. surface homogenization is tennis develoving not evolving
Combine fast surfaces with technology and balls that allow players to hit much harder?

Reasons why guys?
A and B are the same thing. Maintaining of the same old status quo. I don't think major audiences are going to change their opinion of any of those three guys depending on whether or not they win the next 3 majors. Tennis has been stuck in the same pattern for over a decade now, that's basically unprecedented in the sports history, things need to change, and new blood is the only way to accomplish that. Having the same guys continue to monopolize all the major titles does nothing for anyone but their respective fans.

Genuinely surprised that most people don't choose A.

Djokovic going for the Grand Slam would be one of the biggest tennis stories in years. As he got to the last leg at the US open it would be a brilliant tense narrative for the sport.

if he will be able to win french + wimby ..the history will be made at the US OPEN with 80-90 % of possibility.. 50 anniversary

Definitely C. We need some fresh blood winning slams. By far the best option.

I think A and B are roughly equivalent. A would be a great story with Nole showing unparalleled dominance. B would be good for all the fans and would keep all the slam race momentum going. But it would be the same guys winning and the status quo would remain the same.

I'd personally prefer B as a Fed fan, of course. But C is undoubtedly the best for tennis

I never bought into the new Nadal hype, so I don't care what the rhetoric was. I'm not a Nadal fan by any stretch, so this isn't damage control by me.

Regardless of the reason, you cannoy deny that a scoreline that lopsided between the two of them in a slam final is unprecedented. There's no reason to think it's a new pattern and will happen again.

A. i don't see anything else generating as much buzz for tennis.

my personal preference is for C. would be nice to get some new contenders in the mix...

Has to be C. It’s an unprecedented situation where no major champions are under 30 - the men’s game desperately needs new champions to emerge.
