What would Federer play like today if he grew up alongside Sinnercaraz?

Nadal was not world class on grass at that point, he had 0 grass court tournaments under his belt.

He made two Wimbledon finals in a row. He wins 2007 for sure without Federer around and likely 2006 too. Then he went on to win in 2008 the following year (and Queen's).

651 from Federer. I thought 800.

Total 15000 matches and it's ongoing project. No bias.

Tennis abstract is the best source of truth.
That is good enough, although they lack really old Federer matches. If they had more, the % could change a bit. But it is more than good enough to give a good idea. For many other players though, they lack enough matches.

By that logic Roddick was world class because he had back to back finals and 3 queens titles. Roddick wasn't world class on grass.

We have the stats. He sliced 37% of his backhands which is every third shot.

It's for YOU to decide what is all the time. And what is exaggeration.
I wonder how that percentage increases or decreases over the course of his career.
I felt that when he was dominating early in his career he was hitting a lot of winners off his backhand drive. Still using the slice to draw guys in, but then magnificent passes from either his FH or BH.

As he aged, I felt he leaned a little more on the slice to help find ways to get to a Forehand.
My guess is in his early years less slicing compared to his latter years.

That would be very good thing and possible to do but it will take a lot of time.
The data is already here. It's just 651 separate matches to go through.

Good points. I can imagine that quicker feet and lighter shots gave Federer more chances to drive with his backhand, but have not looked at the data. However cross court slices were also punished less back then. More people are able to run around shots and spin to pass.

One of the biggest strengths of Sinner is his ability to stay close to baseline and avoid almost any slice while delivering such shot quality. Djokovic docet.
