Id say he is dissapointed with his play because in first set although he won, he had 8 winners and 15 unforced errors, thats not nr3 in the worlds play. He is quite modest and down to earth.

He is playing like total crap. In his normal game he would wipe the floor with Monaco on a hard court. I will give the reason. The guys isnt mentally strong enough to handle pressure of coming into a slam with pressure. End of story.

Prettu much have to agree with you. He has not played well at all this USO. Becaise of all the things surrounding him. But he is still winning which is important and also you GOTTA give credit to Monaco, he is really realyl playing well and fighting with his all weapons.

i think quite the opposite. what pressure to monaco have? no one's expected to win. no one expected a clay courter like himself to even make it this far in the tournament. he's feeling anything but pressure.
djokovic, on the other hand, is a favorite for the tournament, so the pressure's all on him to deliver.

The match was 4 days ago and he cruised through his last match. Dont come up with that lame excuse. He just cant deal with the pressure because he is overrated and his mental game is nowhere near Nadal and Federer. That is all.

Btw reall class act in tiebrakers and really classy that he comes back from brake at 5 - 5 to fight to tiebrak. King of tiebreaks !!! 24 - 8 this year and the best record in last year in pro tpur on tiebreakers ..

Overrated ? Mental game not enough for federer ( he won the last match winning in two brakers ) and for nadal ( won two hard court metings agains him this year ? ). Learn your tennis.

So you have to have a really weak mental game to win 25 - 8 rcord in tiebrakers in this season up till now ? I remmeber the 13th game being the most important and many of the players are crushed by pressure unlike djokovic. SO what do you have to say about this mental weakness of his ?

Sick of this guy. Joker can’t handle any decent match without getting a trainer out on the court. Whenever I happen to watch a match involving him, he gets massaged on the court. Medical timeouts are part of his game now in big matches. I would not go as far as to say that he fakes injuries to break his opponent’s rhythm, but he is a BORE.

It is quite irritation I must admit. But if you are injured thats it, you have the right to ask for a trainer. Anyways Nadal brakes much mroe rules witht he 45 seconds between serves and with illegal coaching during the match and with everythign else, and still I dont see people bashing him so much. But hey - you have a right to opinion, Ill not argue that. I dont like trainers on court also as Ive stated already.

Here is spoiler for ya. I watched most of today's match with Novak and Monaco. Monaco played the best match he has ever played in his entire life today. Monaco was hitting his groundies better than federer would have. But Novak handled everything that was thrown at him and returned the favor by ripping winners whenever monaco hit a neutral shot. NO way Nadal and Federer can beat this guy this year, can't see it happen. CROWN your NEW US open Champion, Novak Djokovic today.:grin:

Djokovic is solid as a block mentally, but his game just isn't that amazing. It's no coincidence that he plays these long, grueling matches. 4 sets in 4 hours. He's not putting the ball away, he's just getting into long rallies and killing himself out there and managing to win the important points. He's a great player because of his fortitude, not because of his skill.
What a brilliant match and such clear ball striking from both these individuals!!
Anyway Monaco is a very nice find for tennis and should make it to the top 10 in sometime .As far as Novak is concerned the way he played in the fourth set he would have schooled most players on the other half of the draw .
If he keeps this level up then federer(if he gets past roddick?) is going to get schooled in the final .
