Whats the best match djokovic has ever played?

You seem obsessed with that guy? Are you sure you are not gonna make a new thread about him?

Nevertheless, I have said what I wanted to say.

Have a good night.

Wimbledon and US Open 2011 finals, despite the lapses in the third set, unreal ownage of the Great Bull. Rome final 2011 also.

Hard court at least Miami 2014. That hard court form might have been the best I have ever seen over two sets ever.
Grass Wimbledon 2011.
Clay Rome 2011.

If only Novak could reproduce his Rome 2011 form throughout the whole fortnight at RG this year. A guy can always dream I guess.....

Djokovic is very comfortable on the Rome courts. There is not a ton of room behind the baseline or on the sides so he can step up in the baseline. Nadal likes the French with its sprawling dimensions. He can go way back behind the baseline where he is very comfortable. Djokovic can get Nadal uncomfortable easier in the more confined Foro Italico.

You mean if only Nadal could play as crap as he did on clay in 2011 ;)
Nope, I wasn't even thinking of Nadal when I wrote that post baby boy.

And if it weren't for Djokovic 2.0 I very much doubt you'd be saying that Nadal was crap that year cos he'd've mopped everything up as usual. I can smell your BS from seven thousand miles away.

He can mop up everything in the clay season and still play terribly. That was my impression of Nadal's 2010 clay swing.

I thought Nadal played really well in 2010. And I'm not saying that he was great on clay in 2011 by any stretch of the imagination but the only reason MN's saying he was so poor is because he got his @rse handed to him that year on all surfaces by the better player at the time. I can see through his nonsense from a mile away even if others can't.

I'd probably say the Aussie Open Final of 2012. Close to 6 hours battling with Nadal, and he was down an early break in that 5th set and came back to win it, so I think anytime you win a slam that's that physical and grueling it's hard not to say that's one of your more memorable wins and best matches played.

^^Fot most dominant display, are you going with the opponent being a high calibre opponent and/or playing decent/good? Cause there have been more dominant displays (imo) from Novak before, like vs Granollers at AO, etc....

Ya I'm basing it on having a high quality opponent who was in reasonable form (so an opponent reaching a 500 series final and slam SF/F suffice).

There have been early round matches in tournaments where he has destroyed a far inferior opponent who was not playing very well by greater magnitudes at the slams, but for over-all I still think the Berdych match takes the take. He was 1 point away from a double bagel.

Lol you better make it about me boo. He played crap on clay last year and half of the 2013 clay season too, and it didn't have a thing to do with Novak.

Not sure, but SpintoWin is an especially trash quality poster.

Dude was literally in a topic the other day saying Djokovic's record vs the top 10 in 2012 was "not very impressive" when it includes more top 10 wins than Federer EVER achieved in a season :mrgreen:

Thought the 2011 AO final destruction of Murray was more comprehensive than the SF against Federer.
But Federer is a vastly superior player to Murray, and also generally one who pushes Djokovic in every match they play.

So Djoker winning 3:0 vs. Federer in a slam (the only time he's done this against a healthy and interested Federer) is worthy of special mention.

Djokovic destroyed Tsonga last year at Roland Garros. Really dominant on return that day. Something like nearly half of 1st service points returned won, and well over half for second serve return points won.

By all means let us continue this fruitful discussion, but I'll just put this here for reference:

Anyway, AO 2008 and RG 2012 aside, AO 2011 was a 100% legit victory for Novak that was very impressive.

If you look closely you will see that federer obsessed worshipers aren't any better, quite contrary, they are majority of Novak distractors not only here but in other tennis forums. I belive that deep down even some of the most ardent Nadal fans respect Novak as opponent and his achievments, but federer fans in general don't respect anyone who is capable to win against him, they always find a way to depreciate other player, his game, personality, whatever is needed to make him even greater than he already is they can't stand the fact that hes not the best in everything.
On topic/there are many great matches played by Nole USO10/11 SF, AO11SF/F, AO08 SF,Rome11 F, Rome14 F, MC13F,Montreal07 F, AO SF/F12 Paris SF09, WTF12 F etc,but one is stands out for me USO11 F, absolutely unreal tennis from Novak against opponent who also played great in that match .

That's why I respect nadal fans more. Some of them actually respect novak. But that's only because djokovic is the player that nadal had trouble figuring out how to beat.

Before waving your index fingers around like some redneck I advise you both to check yourselves out. You are far from saintly.

Also, regarding Djokovic's record in 2012, he lost almost 1/4 of his meetings with top 10 players and lost a total of what, 10 matches? So no, his record was not that impressive, as he had that many top 10 wins as a result of meeting players that often more than absolutely dominating them (Federer had only one top 10 win less in his best year if I'm not mistaken, but he had much less matches against top 10 players; in other words, he had the far superior winning percentage, comprende?)

As usual, you like to derail things and take things out of context to make it seem like you're right. Unfortunately for you, your bias seeps through more often than not.

without any doubt, US open final 2011 vs nadal

Nadal was absolutely at top form, and still got absolutely crushed in problably the most intense tennis match ( in terms of quality and intensity of the points) i have ever seen... That djokovic is unbeatable, and yet was almost eliminated the round before vs federer ( had matchpoints in semifinal)..

But that day, no one on earth would beat djokovic, and nadal really gave it all, and still could only win a set.

Both players were phisically destroyed in 4th set. Considering we are talking about nadal and djoko that is a pretty good indicator on how the match was being played

Not a bad choice. I've said plenty of times, Nadal would have demolished anyone else with the kind of tennis he played that day.

Nadal wasn't all that great in 2011 in Flushing. He ran out of gas for sure in the final set.

2010 Nadal, 2013 USO Nadal or 2009 AO Nadal would DEMOLISH that 2011 Nadal

Yep ;)

13, he was able to be just as aggressive without killing himself. He was playing more hybrid tennis in 2011 (kind of like AO-09) where he was running too much. His stamina was better in 2013 also.
You think 13 nadal would have beaten 11 djokovic?

I would still say djokovic in 4 tight sets actually.

He met top 10 34 times in 2012, winning 24 of them. That is pretty good. Most of those 10 losses came against Nadal, Federer and Murray. What do you expect him to do, win all those matches? isn't these three guys gonna beat him a couple of times?? (in 2012 he had only a losing h2h against nadal, he led fed 3-2 and murray 4-3 ).
