For first he had his liquid metal radical which was a paintjob.....then he changed to the flexpoint which i dont know if its a paintjob too....but know he uses the liquid metal instinct? ive heard he is looking for power in Clay but will he return to the flexpoint he had ? or what will come up next.....Head sales are at risk with this guy!

Well, I think his new racquet is what screwed him up last night, so I think he'll go back to whatever his normal racquet is for now.

? maybe, maybe not

Think the new raquet is painted to! I think he still playes with the old Radical! That is what he have said for the past ten year! BUUTTT, mayby he have got the new raquet!? Only a few pepole in the world knowes what Andre Agassi playes with.! :?:

Andre BOUGHT 6 of this racquet of the club pro shop. Look up in some other threads and ull see what they say.....they say he bought them....he might wanted to try them but what will happen next?

i radical

i am pretty sure dre is faithful to the racket that he was so successful with = i radical os..
the guy is not into changing winnning patterns in his game.
i would be very surprised if he was changing winning ways .
but i have been wrtong on a few occasions before in my assumptions but still have a feeling this is not one of them..

wiseguy c :)

I am not questioning the poster who saw that Agassi bought 6 racquet at the club pro shop.

However this sounds a bit hard to believe and I will tell you why?

1) Agassi can easily call his Head contact and have all the racquets overnight to him.

2) It is kind of rare for a club to have 6 of the identical racqeuts in stock. It is possible, though, during a major tournament.

3) It is even rarer for the club to have the same grip size and same heard size and the same length of the racquet in stock. Keep in mind this racquet comes with multiple head sizes, length, and grips. Unless Agassi just picked up 6 of any grip size, head size or length.

(2) and (3) are still possible. Then I would like to know how many racquets are in stock at this club? (it must be in hundreds if it is ONLY a Head dealer. If it also carries other racquets, LOL, the number is enormous.)

I have a close friend who ran a pro shop and he told me that it is very very unlikely for any club to have more than 3 of the same racquets in stock. It is "money hanging on the wall". "We can easily get more in a couple of days if customers want them." Most of time, they will stock a pair of the popular racquets. Keep in mind, a particular manufacturer has many popular racquets, Head prestige mid, MP, Radical, MP, OS, etc, etc, and etc.

Now it is still possible that Agassi asked Head to deliver these 6 racquets to the club so he can pick them up.

More information !

Hello, I'm french !
Another information= for me ( with the pics), I think that AGASSI's racket is an oversize (690) ! But, Head LM instinct doesn't exist in 690! A mistake with the paint ????

This history is really streng !!

I have phone HEAD FRANCE but they have no information !!

Somebody must phone Head USA for the answer !!!

agassi isnt using the instinct, thats for sure. he is supposed to be using the radical OS, which is indeed 690 cm.

i think it is the instinct...
Look at the buttcap, its now white, not black like before..
Head makes everytime black ones for the tourplayers..
And what about the the paint, the stripes on it are true, not fake, thats for sure..

If this tournement is anything remotely resembling the US Open, perhaps the proshop had an increased stock b/c of the presence of the racquet vendors and the increase of traffic from all the spectators? Just a thought.

AA did NOT buy those racquets at the pro shop in houston. he had his personal stringer, ****, get the racquets and ship them to him. it was an experiment for the clay courts which were playing very slow.

this is unrelated to the purchase of some racquets, but Dre did switch to a powerful widebody a few years back at the French open. I remember him snapping a couple of those in a first or second-round match. Anyone else remember that? Seems like they were all-black (but definitely widebodies). He said he was looking for more power on the clay.
Ian

i dont think andre would buy off the shelf racquets either due to the fact that he probably has his grip shapes molded to a prince / donnay shape

OK, here is the scoop... I searched the Yellow Pages, and found AA's phone # so I decided to call him last night. He said, "Yeah Rick, I had some extra cash so I bought the instinct. I like the shiny gold color. What do you think?" I told him.."Andre, you are crazy man. Why don't you just go back to the POG?" So he says, "With the babies, the touring, and Steffi's *****ing, I do not have the time to search on ****."

So there you have it, right from the horses mouth.

That was quite a few years back, 1990. Used for 1 or 2 tournaments before being ditched. That racquet was over 30mm wide and was sold as the Donnay Ultimate Pro. Not bad for a such a huge widebody.

Since that experiment he went back to a Pro One and MAY have switched to the original Head trisys 260, and probably has been playing with that until this latest experiment.

thats ok. I have steffi's #. i will get Andre's number (he has no other work but to wait for my call). May be i will ask him to join our forum and write some interesting posts.

anyone with andres # give it to me please......i am updating my address book and i have lost andre's new number....i only have his academy one....i needed please, if you want it to be secret send it to my mail....thanks! ;)

If I were the proshop owner...i rather ask for a BIG picture with Andre...that's a cheap advertisement for the Proshop isn't it?
A huge banner of Andre and myself, shaking hands and with the Instincts on the other hand !!!!!!!!!!!!!! .... that's business eh?

hey Indiantwist got agassis number? if not hand me steffis...i can ask her as well all the agassi family and my family went to dinner together a long time ago so we are pretty good friends.

i am watching the italian tennis clay tournament right now and if my eyes are not mistaken i am seeing andre agassi play with the instinct! wasnt he playing agains with the liquid metal radical....ive seen some pic on a thread around here where he went to the streets of italy to play some minitennis with nadal and he was the the LM radical....whats wrong with HEAD or this guy? And what happened to the flexpoint?

playing the french in 97 i guess he was using the old prince painted black remember? lost to safin in five.

Funny, a FP Radical paintjob on an Instinct. I guess Head deicided that he was confusing the public by using the real thing and they had to remedy the fact with some rush order of new paint jobs.

Head's frame-paintjob-painters must have been working 24 hours around the clock to get those sticks finished

Let's not hope Safin will decide to switch to a different racquet, that would just be too much to handle for the paintjob-men, considering he breaks a couple a day!
