Sorry for my complete newbieness, but I've seen A LOT of people around here who strings their racquets with higher tensions on the crosses than the tension used on the mains.
Well, for me the most common thing was to do the exactly opposite, using higher tensions on the mains, since they are "longer" and tend to lose tension easier. And I always thought that it helps both spin and slice( mostly on serves ). And the lower tension on the crosses helps getting more comfort out of your stick.
Which advantages do you get by stringing the crosses tighter?
Thanks in advance for all who helps me here( and not for those who makes fun of me :-? ).
Cheers,
