What's the ugliest stroke in tennis?

Last night I couldn't sleep, because yesterday I wanted to watch Fonseca play but unfortunately his opponent was Cameron Norrie - so I had to watch a whole Norrie match

So here's the question:

In current tennis, or do we speak about stuff like mcnroes fh or braaschs or gilberts service?
Norrie isnts too bad and 99% of this forum would kill for his technique.

Norrie is way in the lead for ugliest strokes in the pros. I'm starting to place his right there w/ some rec. players.
Gilbert's needs an update to his book and mention Norrie on the first page.

My brain still can't figure out how Norrie is a pro. And it is all just based on visuals/appearnce.
The guy clearly has game, moves well and knows how to work his opponents.

His strokes have the key elements, but because of some hitches and a litle odd posturing, it seems off.
Plus, his team needs to figure out better kits for him. I've seen him in person and he looks like you pulled some 3.5 off the stands.
The guy is fit and an athlete, lets get him better threads.

Sharpen up his look and we are claiming this is the next....Taylor Fritz.

Yes is is possible, but it can be effective,he plays high jump and quickly, The shot is supposed to win, and whether it is beautiful is another matter...

Thats an insult to the volleys of the Russian trio Medvedev, Rublev and Kachanov. They only approach the net for the Toss and to shake hands

All 3 of those guys are better doubles player than the supposedly GOAT.

Also let's not forget who's got the worst overhead smash in the top-100...

Fh: Medvedev, Tiafoe, Norrie, Kyrgios, F Mayer, Granollers, Gasquet, Stepanek, Ferrer,
Bh: Medvedev, Norrie, Berloq
Serve: Delbonis and Dolgo, although I kinda liked Dolgo’s at the same time

Edit: also adding Zverev’s fh and Bartolli’s serve, Roddick’s serve and Serena’s movement

Misha Zverev forehand is a peach. Mannarino FH is a sight to behold. Any volley attempt by Sasha is highly stylistic. Some of the women service motions and the German chick with her weird slimey dicey from both sides. Fortun the remote has new batteries and life is too short to watch any of the above.

Santoro's stroke he used to hit from the right side of his body, which I still don't know if we should call it a forehand.

Brooksby has an ugly game, is a jerk on court and a doper. Hopefully he stays away for good.
Brooksby has one of the most interesting games on tour. He’s cool AF. And he was set up by the corrupt WADA and has recently been vindicated.

What’s the issue? It was a 2HF. It wasn’t the first and it won’t be the last.
The issue is that it violated all the aesthetic canons of tennis stroke beauty known by human kind, included, but not limited to the racket finishing in his left hand as if it were a lefty one handed backhand, gripped way up normal position.
When I was recovering from the nausea of that stroke, kind of getting used to watching it, there cometh Lord Gulbis with his heinous albatross forehand, which caused me seizures comparable to the ones experienced by Chief Inspector Charles LaRousse Dreyfus in The Pink Panther film franchise when he met Inspector Jacques Clouseau.
So you asking what the issue is really offends me, and I hope we are never discussing this subject again.

I saw him play in person quite a few times. I never had any aesthetic issues with any of his strokes and I’m quite sensitive in this regard. However, out of respect for your sensibilities I shall not mention it again.

I actually don’t think medvedevs backhand form is that awkward. Just looks it bc he’s long and super tall

Tough as ****

Brooksby had wrist surgery and missed a couple of drug tests while he was out for that surgery + rehab. Yeah, he probably took some stuff he wasn’t supposed to have. He also has his entire professional career on the line. I can’t blame him for taking anything he thought might help him get a full recovery. Wrist surgery for a tennis player at his age can absolutely be career ending.
I wish him a speedy recovery and hopefully once that’s done he can serve his suspension, pass his tests, and start winning on tour again.

Baseball fan?

Brooksby has no redeeming qualities except that he seems to appeal to the Barstool demo.

I didn't watch this match, but the problem I have with this clip is intent. Did Brooksby intent to hit the ballboy, or was it a situation where a young player lost his cool and threw his racquet?

The situation with Djokovic hitting the linesman with the ball at the US Open is a similar situation. It would be outrageous to argue that Djokovic meant to injure the lady, but it was a moment of emotional disconect that I'm sure he regrets.
