Us open 2016 is drawing near. Anyone have any information abt the latest racquets.

Seen thread like project one 7 from babolat and a fst95A(delpotro signiture-not sure will they made)

Just a wild Guess the upcoming rackets will be:
Replacement for Wilson blade series
Replacement for yonex vcore si and tour f series
Babolat project one 7 for pure strike replacement
Head should be prestige/speed(sorry not a fan of head)

Don't think we will see the new Pacific's here..Hope we don't see the new gammas here. Dunlops lol, if they do please dump those M thing mushy grommets. Volkls, same stick new dresses. I bet the new wilsons, heads, babs, yonex, prince will come up with some new fangled sexy technology we just got to have. The new ones will play so much better then the previous gen going out. One line will normally put out some butt ugly paint schema, prices we know will be high at first...we know drill by now.....It just like we got to have the latest smart phone with parallel drilling, more high quality graphene, bioskin, Opt- Spot, Nanometooooo....

Nope. I have played the V Sense 8's (now in three weight classes) and V Sense 9 and these are far more along the lines of brand new models than updates.

Cool...Amazing...An overhaul was long overdue, if that is what they are calling it. Good for Volkl....not sure what has changed, they don't list squat on there Volkl web site about the updates or changes..maybe some tweak to some of there fat beams...guess now they added a light 285 V Sense 8 wow....but again if you compare the overall specs to specs the V Sense 8 300 (285, 315) is just about the same as the Super G 8 300 (and 315) ..285 maybe great for my 9 year old daughter...but see might be lost with out that amazing OptiSpot technology! Hopefully they dump the mushy Super G grommets. damn...what is left..

Yes, head size, string pattern, weight & balance on the V8 300/315 are pretty much the same, but it is a new mold and the racquets play quite differently than their predecessors. The SG 8's feel quicker, crisper and have more free power. The new racquets cannot quite match these on flick of the wrist shots. The new racquets are more solid feeling and incredibly stable for their respective weights, without giving up too much in the power department. There is a marked improvement in overall feel. I hope these don't get lost in the shuffle, because Volkl has created something that could suit a lot of players with the new 8's. I will keep my SG8's but have already added a V8 to my bag -- not as a replacement, but as a different flavor.

The V9 takes it a step further, going to an very open string pattern vs closed -- it is a completely new stick. At the same weight, the V8 315 might suit a wider range of players because it is equally good for spin, flattening the ball out and control. The V9 will be a solid whuppin' stick for the spin focused player looking for decent plow through.. Even the V6, which does not have the new big grommets used on the V8's and V9's is much more solid feeling than the outgoing SG6, which must be strictly due to the new mold and layup. The SG 6 was already a great junior racquet, the V6 is even better. This or the V8 285 would both be excellent options for juniors.

Just goes to show that we don't play racquets on paper and have to live by the mantra "demo, demo, demo".

Server still freaking out.
Thanks, guess down the road....once the price drops....I would test drive new 8 315 ( or 300) ..
Sad how Volkl value and prices can fall from the sky. Marketing also can be a bit challenged..
They make one of best quality frames out there, which does have a fairly proven vibration reduction system.
With TE widely out there, be a smart choice for the wild swingers...
Guess it's that old saying; I could of had a V8!"

I'm looking forward to the Blades. The Heads will be junk. We already know what the Pro Staffs will look like. I'm also curious about the Strikes replacement.

I was wondering what is gonna be new from Wilson. I was about to purchase a PS97 (current one broke) and I thought that new models could be surfacing soon. How do you know what the pro staffs will look like?

I didn't like the new graphics. I'm sure they will grow on me. It will be cool having the new racquets, though. I don't like the Burns either, but I would like a burn 95 just to look like Nishikori or Mahut. I know, I'm vain :)

New VCore line = VCore SV

I've seen and have pictures of the new Speed and Instinct line.

The new Instinct is a totally different mold to the current one, I believe they will merge the Extreme and Instinct line into one line.

Speeds will be mostly the same....except for one major thing. I wish I could say more but I'd risk having my post deleted like the huge Wilson 2017 thread I posted up earlier.

As for the Hi-Ten, I'll leave this here....

What's the deal with the new PSs? Just cosmetics? I'm thinkin on replacing my PS97 which broke with a new one but I don't wanna jump the gun if there's going to be some major differences worth considering.

Is anything coming out at the Rogers Cup?

Word is that Raonic is already using the new Blade with the bicycle vibration dampening stuff in it.

I've heard Wilson will be using Countervail in their racquets....
http://www.countervailproducts.com/assets/Wilson Press Release Jun 20.pdf
Countervail[emoji768] is a composite-material system that combines traditional damping layer concepts and a patented fiber preform. The experimentally-proven unparalleled damping is derived from the fiber preform; the fiber pattern maximizes the vibrational energy dissipation in the surrounding polymeric materials.

THE RESULT:
Countervail[emoji768] layups can be tailored to balance stiffness, strength and damping performance that outperform constructions using traditional approaches.

Which means the new RF97A will start at a street price of $249 :-(

Fukky's review

I think the LS should be the go to option for the majority of club players. With some added lead if needed it would be excellent. The S version remains cumbersome with huge SW. Look at the end of the video some amazing shots he produced with LS :)

I don't understand a word in the Japanese reviews, but I just love them (have seen some done on Princes and Yonexes shared in this forum) :)
