What's up with Bianca Andresscu?

Andreescu has been absolutely smashed by injury. She also ran into something of a brick wall when the pandemic stopped all the momentum she had after her breakout 2019 season. Suffered some lingering mental health problems after the pandemic, too. Totally understandable after having to adjust from being on top of the world to having no tournaments to play.

You can see why she was damn near unbeatable for a lot of her breakout season. She had point ending power from anywhere on the court and also a lot of touch and variety. Even matches where she was down she was very strong mentally and hard to put away.

I think it’s been quite a while since she has had 18 months injury-free, and that’s tough on the WTA now where athleticism is at a premium and you have to have insane movement and defence.

Her body isn't up to the task (always nursing some sort of injury) and her conditioning isn't as good as a lot of the top players. It's rare that she completes a match without some lingering pain. Last night you could see she was totally out of gas after the first set and in the 3rd set was labouring.

She was the most promising tennis player of her time, (which is not that far) or is she one slam wonder like raducanu?
Hey, i have something weird happening ? i have Bianca contanting me and telling me she wants to date me. i have a strong feeling this is a imposter. but how do you check this is a fake bianca ?? She's contacting me via tiktok. I did contact her first though on her tiktok site. This is really confusing me

and to answer your question, she did play one of the hottest player in the tour yesterday,, no shame she lost that match,, almost beat her and actually would have beaten her if wasn't for the cramping.

Injury after injury after injury has almost certainly taken its toll on her. She's still good, losing to Paolini in 3 is hardly a disaster, but she only came back from a nine-month layoff at Roland Garros, she did alright there and at Wimbledon considering she's not that good on those surfaces.

Canada and Cincinnati were definitely not good, and it's safe to say she'll never be what she was in 2019, but look at her then. She was so young, in such incredible shape and so frighteningly athletic, and that is just not easy to maintain when your body won't play ball.

Even then she was nursing injuries that whole year. They're just a lot easier to recover from when you're 19.

Tell us that she lost today without telling us she lost today.
:(

She had adapted the Djoker's gluten-free diet in order to control her weight problem.

Yes and so were a few others such as Leylah Fernandez, Eugenie Bouchard, Felix Aliassime, Denis Shapovalov. Now, the hole is coming even deeper in 2025-2028 as Tennis Canada is completely incompetent with its talent coming out. I suspect bias selection process into the teams, questionable sponsorships and funding, lazy, underfunded and unhappy coaching etc. I've heard some Canadian olympians had to look for funding through OnlyFans too. Canadian politicians seem uninterested in tennis; my son just won a junior ITF tournament on international soil (singles and doubles) in which in the final he played a Polish kid whose consulate ambassador roared into the venue with his Polish flag. I guess Ottawa only invests in "freedom" and "democracy".

Her time was two weeks several years ago?
She was pretty great when she was healthy enough to play in 2019. Which wasn't super often, but it was far more than 2 weeks.

Finals at Auckland, Semis at Mexican Open. Won Indian Wells. 4R and retired at Miami. Big layoff due to injury. Won Canadian Open and then the US Open. Lost to Osaka in the QF of the China Open.

Won a slam and two Masters level tournaments. A bit more than two weeks.

But, yeah - not much since.
