What's wrong with Flexpoint?

Well, i couldn't sell 3xpog mids i had that screwed my elbow badly, so when someone offered a trade for 3xhead flexpoint radical mp i just went for it.
They actually play nice. Have hit with the Microgel, Liquidmetal and youtek version and the flexpoint is my second favorite (MG is just a little bit more solid, nothing leadtape on the flexpoint can't fix).
But it got me thinking...
It seems that from all the head generations (twintube, intelligence, liquidmetal, flexpoint, microgel, youtek, youtek ig, graphene) Flexpoint seems the one that didn't got the same following of the others, especially on the radical line. Why's that?

This was marketing bull used by head to explain the supposed technology

From the Head users that I know, they have all said that Flexpoint was a marketing gimmick and that the frames were really no different from the previous version. Thus, no need to spend cash and get it. The following version, the microgel was perceived to have improved technology and be a step up from the previous frames.

To the extent that it's all a marketing gimmick, I have no idea. The perceptions of consumers drive sales.

I have had two flexpoint fires in the past, and I don't think I was able to get that area to flex as illustrated. I've even stepped on the racquet (angled on 2x4) to see if it actually flex, but I wasn't able to see anything, but it was a good playing racquet though.

After the intelligence, microgel for me came the flexpoint.Nothing wrong with it. nice raw feel. the people who believe marketing gimmicks and then buy racquets deserve the "oh no Ive been robbed" a variation on the O face hahahahah

The Flexpoint thing did not last long. I think it may even be bad because many balls, including serves, are hit north of the 3-9 line (towards the tip). Why would you then want the frame flexing at 3-9 and supposedly transferring energy back as claimed, if that was not even the right place?

Those people shouldnt be allowed to post, period. I don't need someone to reiterate BS.

My $0.02 worth: I have the Prestige Mid. Great racket - always felt like I could hit the ball exactly where I wanted - most accurate racket I've ever owned. But definitely the lowest powered of all the Prestige Mids, none of which are known for being incredibly powerful. Power Sells these days.

Haha, I don't think it matters much to be the "lowest powered" of all Prestige Mids. They're all bottom feeders as far as power goes.

I'm an ex-Prestige Mid wielder for a good 10years of my tennis life (i.Prestige Mid (5yrs) then TW Re-issue PC600 (5yrs)). In my opinion, I didn't care for any of the Prestige Mids after the Intelligence series. They were all meh compared to my PC600.

Flexpoint was the worse for me.

Flexpoint Instinct is my current racquet of choice ( x 3 of). I had to hunt high and low and pay through the nose for them-still glad I did it though.

I used to play with the plexpoint radical os and I hit with the liquidmetal radical os a few times. to me, it pretty much felt like the same stick. I guess that's the deal with it. I don't ever remember feeling it flex at the flexpoint either!
