What's your biggest weakness?

I toughed out a win 1st and only match back. But I d completely forgotten how to time receiving topspinny shots. Saw the ball coming in new it would jump up and still swing late. It was all improv shots keep ball deep and slice and dice. fortunately like a true old hack I'm good with the lob, drop, moon ball, slice DTL. And occasionally I pull off a good forehand which surprises me and my opponent. Weirdly enough my serve was ok. And I find a lot of these guys have topspin for brains. No matter how good the serve they always try and tee off on it - all donations accepted. So very fugly match not proud.

On my last match back I had a knee injury and I lost to someone I could've easily beat, I need to remember to stretch more.
 
Being an old old hack if you have tricky knees I would suggest getting some of those compression athletic bandages. It's just like a round sleeve thing you pull on like a sock. I used to have ACL niggles and since I did that 10 years of no problems. yeah young guy if you don't like the look of it just wear them under those super lightweight track pants kind of shell material Adidas and puma do them and I'm sure you can find cheaper knock offs

Speaking of distractions funny I play with this hot little Asian girl. Only tennis unfortunately. Anyway I have my own little rice pie at home. but any big match up and my tennis partner or is transfers responsibility upfront tells me what I have to do and makes it very clear that if we lose it's all on me. it's hilarious because she makes us play agrade up for vanity and I'm the only one who ever wins any singles matches. ID like to play a grade down and get a few more of these stupid cheap trophies. Also vanity but more realistic vanity
 
15 years old on ttw kid that is going to do bad things to your head. We are not age appropriate here or any other kind of appropriate.
 
Fitness + Risk Management

i play too aggressive sometimes / go for wild shots. Its fun, but not so good for winning matches

and fitness, i have good long term endurance for like a 3 setter, but not so good short term (long rally with lots of running)
 
Mine is focus. When I'm in the zone I am a completely different player. When I'm not I have zero confidence in my strokes and my footwork and general game go out the window. I go through patches of both, right now I'm definitely not in the zone and it's becoming very frustrating

My biggest weakness is my backhand topspin, followed by the current state of my second serve.

Because my backhand slice is my most consistent shot I just get stuck in the vicious circle of desperately needing to practice the topspin but when I do I get frustrated with its quality and drop back to only using the slice, and thus the topspin never gets anything like the practice it needs. It's almost absurd how far behind the rest of my game that shot is getting.

As for the second serve, I'm like a 5.0 version of Alexander Zverev at the moment - I'm quite capable of getting in a good rhythm and hitting 80%+ first serves in for extended periods but if that's not quite clicking and I start exposing my second serve regularly then under any kind of pressure it's failing far too often. However, it's basically a product of "the process" as I try to commit to heavier second serves. It was going pretty well around the autumn last year but serving under floodlights, where the correct height of toss for me happens to drop from just above the line of the lights to just below, tends to mess with me... and then we got three months without play due to the lockdown!
 
Stamina/durability, as well as heat. I try to finish points quickly by being aggressive, since I know I won't be able to last long enough to grind it out. I'm also just weak against heat in general, so playing in hot weather drops my performance greatly.

Everyone's game melts in the heat, as someone who watched Djokovic vs Monfils at the Australian in person, I'm not even kidding when they looked like zombies close to the end of the match due to the heat.

Haha that's true. The reason I mentioned it being a weakness is because I often witness other people around me performing much better than me in the heat, so that likely just means I'm lacking.
