Wheelchair Tennis in Rio

So, 5 years ago I took a 13 year old Alfie Hewett to his first Junior World Championships in France and he showed then that he had something a little special in him, saving 6 match points to beat an opponent 5 years older and ranked inside the senior top 30 in 3 sets.

Fast forward to his first Paralympic Games and he's only gone and reached the Gold Medal match, where he will play his GB teammate and doubles partner.

If you get the chance on Friday to have a watch please do and see the power, precision and speed with which these athletes play the game.

I will now of course be neutral in an all GB contest - but it should be a cracker!

I misread this thread's title as "Armchair Tennis in Rio", and immediately imagined 5555 playing tennis against octobrina, each sitting on large, crimson velvet armchairs on wheels whilst simultaneously hurling insults at each other.

^^^ Hey buddy, how you doing!

Yeah, Dylan has some distinct advantages in that classification division - but that is a debate for another day (and with the ITF involved!)
