Sometimes it just happens...matches between Gods, an insanely high level of play between two players, playing spellbinding, captivating, heart pounding tennis that makes you sit up and just say - Too good. Here are collection of some of my recent favs when it truly felt like pillars of heaven shook.

Don't think I've seen absolute peak vs peak, I don't think it's possible really. Some matches that were close are like Sampras vs Becker Hannover or even Fed/Murray Wimbledon.

Gotta love peak vs peak.

Djokovic d Nadal AO 2012
Nadal d Djokovic RG 2013

I think the Verdasco-Nadal AO 09 semis is the only one of all the matches above that TRULY features both players in a god mode. Nadal never played a better tournament on slow HC and Verdasco, well.. that was a once-in-a-lifetime performance

maybe Fedal in Rome 06 comes as a close second

Bashing? o_O By sharing the video I implied that even he has some God mode! :D And I will usually find a reason to post a Cheryl gif.

No thanks, I don't mind Sascha.
I’m joking about the “bashing” :D

Don’t know why anyone would like that egomaniacal giraffe but maybe it’s just me. :D

Murray? Egomaniacal? Come on man. :D
“I can cry like Roger it’s just a shame I can’t play like him”
Sounds like something a guy on antidepressants with self esteem issues would say.

Off court you can tell he's a bit of an egomaniac.

Then again so was Roddick.

This always makes me laugh but you can tell here that Andy definitely doesn't like Novak one bit. :D

*Don't think it was both ways at this point, Novak seems a bit disheartened by the way Roddick is roasting him.

Any examples? As far as I can tell he’s the most down to earth and humble out of the big 4.

You’ll probably say it’s bevause he’s achieved way less but look at Tomic and how egotistical he is.

Any interview, really. He wouldn't have achieved anything if he didn't have an inflated view of himself. So really opposite to what you're saying, since he won a whole bunch obviously he had an egotistical fire burning underneath him.

I bet even Tipsarevic or Fish have a huge ego too.

*Only one I can say for sure doesn't is David Ferrer - but that's 'cause I've met him before. :D

Rome 2006.

I don't just mean peak Fed here. That was 110%, all the chips down, everything he had Fed.

Fed was God Mode On that day. Got multiple MPs against peak Nads on Bo5 clay but Rafa was too strong.

I'm convinced that's one of the only times it's ever happened. Where Fed was absolutely 110%, playing his untouchable game, and still lost.

Almost every other time Fed played like that was a hilarious beatdown. The opponent reduced to a spectator.

But Nadal did it.
Roger had been given the leave of the gods to conquer Rome that day, only to be stopped by a mere man.

It's the greatest tennis match of our era. The greatest of all time, pushed to breaking point by the greatest he ever faced.

The Earth shifted slightly during each match point.

He mugged those MPs on his own.

Lol you realise roddick leads djokovic h2h. This is prime example of fed keeping a guy like roddick in his place. Djokovic failed to do this to wawrinka and made him into a multi slam champion
Yeah and Roddick and any decent player would win 6+ Slams in Djokovic's era because he is just a fraud, we know. Now bring that stuff up and crash the mood in another thread that has a totally different topic, we clearly don't have enough of this.

I like how you phrased all of this!
