Djokovic vs Nadal 2011. Both guys at their peak, some great matches. U.S. Open and Rome stand out.
Fed vs Nadal Wimbledon 2007. 2008 was great but Roger was not peak level. 2007 was better in my opinion, the rallies were insane.
Wawrinka vs Djoker 2013 AO- Stan played like I have never seen him before. I don't actually think it was peak Djoko for the whole match, but he produced amazing stuff when it mattered. Kickstarted Stan getting to the next level in his career too, so it's extra special for me.

No! Considering what Djokovic went on to do later that year and the fact that he had beaten Rafa twice in a row on clay prior to the French, it's inconceivable to think Djokovic was playing anywhere close to his best in that semi final.

I wouldn't say Del Po was playing his best on that day. He played his best for maybe a set and a half. You want to see his best? Go watch US Open final 2009. The guy was hitting forehands that broke the sound barrier.

Fantastic tennis; I remember that match well. Someone else mentioned Sampras v. Becker's ATP tour final--another display of incredible tennis; each was his own player with unique game theory/approach, but when both were "on," they were well matched, and it was always something to enjoy.

Well I have killer Cahill on my side who said fed played a great match but djokovic momentum was broken and went into the match cold. Just this past french during the nadal match. Nothing Fan boy about that. I understand anything against fed being perfect is considered fan boy around here.

If he couldn't shake that off after a set or two at most, he had no business being in that match in the first place.
But he was playing as well as in any of his previous clay matches anyway, I've specifically watched this match to compare and stave off the stupid Fognini excuse.
This kind of stuff is Chico level, moaning about the scheduling and umpires etc.

The commentators aren't gods, they're very often fanbois of whoever is currently the best player.
I only pay attention to commentators on technical aspects of the game (as many are ex-players they know about that stuff).
Aside from that, it's an scandal indeed.
