When I wear my favourite players apparel I tend to play better

When i wake up and wear ordinary sports clothes and take to the court I don't really play well, but when I put the same tshirt and shorts that my favourite player wears I always play better. Does anyone else find this happens to them?

Opposite happens to me. Everytime I wear nice bright new player's apparel, I end up playing terribly. So I stick to neutral colors and ordinary stuff.

The other day I swear I played adjacent to players that looked like they should be playing grand slams, you couldn't help but be a spectator. Here I was in my lacoste djokovic attire looking like a badass, and I get positioned next to these two dudes wearing fruit of the loom cotton t shirts playing jaw dropping tennis. They sized me up like right away :-D I often play at the USTA national campus, and it's intimidating at times to play next to these guys. I have no idea who they are but Orlando has so many good players. I'm a 4.0-4.5 on a good day and these guys made me look absolutely silly.

In my case I noticed that when I wear hot colors (red, orange, yellow), my top spin is heavier. I think it's probably because of locally hotter air around my mid section which emphasizes Magnus effect. Nike yellow is ok for pace but rather flatish, whereas Adidas pink definitely bumps my TS FH in the high 3000 rpms.

I don't wear Federer apparel to play better. I wear it because I want to be Federer himself. Far less crazy than thinking his clothes gives me an advantage :).
