but when is it safe to discuss a match here??

There is an entire section devoted to match discussion and results, why would you ever need to discuss a match result in the General Pro section, which should be used for general news and Nadal/Fed **** wars?

Feel free to discuss the Borg v McEnroe match at Wimbledon 1980. But, as another poster suggested, if you're not sure, why not just use Pro Match Results?

And you did not provide the outcome, right?

You could always disguise it as this example shows: "The player had an excellent/not so great match against his/her opponent and when that point the decided the set/match they were playing You know what it would be special/not so good. The player may or may not have moved on to the next round and will perhaps face a new opponent". That way, you can write all you want about the match and noone would call you a spoiler.

haha. Well it's always great to watch the underdog win. I particularly enjoyed how the smugness on jimbo's face disappeared as the match progressed. I haven't watched a whole lot of old matches but the TC was showing this, and boy tennis sure was different back then. I much prefer it now to be honest. But drama it had!

As for Fed-Simon, they have a few threads in the pro match results section, why not discuss it there?
