When is this whole Big 3/4/5 Thing going to End?

Since 2017 you've had two players written off prior to the 2017 season and they bag three majors each, you then have another ATG player who is written off and has had surgery but comes back to win a major past the age of 30.

The young guys in this period have won at the BO3 format but cannot translate it at the GS level. We have now had 7 consecutive majors won by the BIG 3 and all finalists seem to be 30 +.

What is going on here? When will this dominance end once and for all? When are we going to see suprise winners left, right and centre. 1 - 2 slam winners should be popping up now, not the same guys we have been accustomed to since 2005. This beyond ridiculous. It has been 15 years and counting no.

You underestimate the level of the Big Three/Four.
Their level when they're locked in is literally miles above the quality of tennis that Kyrgios, Thiem, Zverev, Dimitrov, and others produce on a GOOD day.

It is ridiculous, but I don't think you should take it for granted. Theres a reason every former pro and commentator called it the Golden Era of tennis when Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, and Murray were at the top of their game. Their talent level is simply off the charts.
I actually think they are all capable of winning a grand slam or sneaking in one until the day they retire. That's simply how good they are.

I'm grateful for it and I will be terribly sad when all of them retire from tennis.
Until then, I don't think any "next-gen" deserves to win yet.

It's relative. Probably more so to do with the non-big 4 and lack of talent/work ethic. What's plaguing them is probably the same thing that has afflicted tennis development in the US for many years now.

They're all three of them doing things that have literally never been done before, so... Who the hell knows? :D There's no point trying to apply any kind of rational logic or looking for comparison points in the past, because they're redefining the legend of the game these past couple of years. We should all stop asking "When is it going to end?" and instead just appreciate it while it's going on.

To me personally their dominance is starting to feel like the end of the 5th set Anderson-Isner match.

It was fun for quite some time but grand slam tennis is boring now.
