When Kramer was king. New book

Legend
I recently saw an advertisment on Amazon for a new book by James Lichtman, When Kramer was King. Memories revisited. Seems a self published book on Jack Kramer, this somewhat forgotten all time great, who as a player dominated the amateur and pro scene in the late 40s and early 50s, and later on promoted pro Tennis and played a leading role for the Grand Prix of Tennis and the ATP in the open era. I cannot see from the pages which are openly shown, whether this actually is a memory by Kramer himself, or a biography by the author.

It would be great to get some information on the financial aspects of the pro tour in the later fifties and early sixties, when Kramer apparently took personal financial responsibility for the tour, with his wife acting as financial secretary.

I think it appears that he had to pay the players himself according to their contract specifications if they failed to generate sufficient revenues at the gate, although I am not sure about that.

It would be nice to see the contract details.
