When will Djokodal fans fight against each other?

They already do, but the right context for a fight hasn't presented itself recently. All fanbases fight with each other when given a reason

They'll never fight. There is no need, because either Nadal or Djokovic can fulfill the true needs of many (not all!) of these fans: Federer not winning and not having records. If Nadal is closest, just become a Nadal fan. If Djokovic is on a roll, all support to Nole. And if they can work together to transform Fed into a has-been no better than PETE, Djokodal are like an all-powerful fusion that can be supported as one entity.

I think a better question would be: whom of the two will you support after they've both definitively surpassed Federer?

Yup. most fed fans here are so unbearable with their hatred towards rafa and djoker I prefer djoker over fed now. djoker fans for the most part aren't hostile towards rafa like fed fans are.

I hope they both pass federer. Prefer Rafa ends with the most but would be great to see fed end up 3rd.
If it bothers you so much, why not log out of the site and find something else to do with your time? :-D

Mike Tyson wasn't the greatest boxer ever based on accomplishments but he was the most exciting during his peak years and people much preferred him over the other greats like Larry Holmes, Lennox Lewis, etc. Federer doesn't need all the records in order to have his place in history. People prefer his sublime style of tennis much more over Djokovic's style and Nadal's style. Doesn't matter who wins the most Slams. Everyone will have their favourite player regardless.

I don’t even know what Djokovic needs to do for me to start hating him again like in early 10’s. My view on him and Federer completely changed in 2017-2018. Djokovic is a rival, a toughest one. Federer is someone who pretends to be a friend, but will stab you in the back when he can benefit from it.

When the evil is stopped for good we’ll see what happens. But for now Djokovic and Nadal have plenty of work to do. ;)

Nadal and djokovic have changed the game together. they have made it more athletic and brutal . It's not just about skill and talent but about mental strength , stamina to fight for 5-6 hours and go to the the extreme physical limit.
So a lot of nole fans identify wid Rafa and Rafa fans identify wid nole . So there is no hatred for the players as such among both fanbase.
Also Fans have chosen Rafa and Nole , at a time when Media and tennis establishment already declared Fed as GOAT . Djokodal fans are happy in their skin . Also Djoker and Rafa are toughest rivals to each other and there this genuine respect for the other player .
Ofcourse there will be few fanatics who will hate the other players ,but most of Djokodal fans get along quite well on social media .

I don't know about that. Djokovic sent the Rafa fans packing for months and gave them a lot of sleepless nights. They hate Djokovic secretly and want him to get injured permanently so that he can't win anything while Nadal is around.
The Nadal fans overall on this forum are secretly praying for Novak to stay injured in 2020.

I don't think so . Few of fanatics behave that way but most civilised fans want the players to be physically fit .

And Djoker being injured and finally out opened floodgates for Federer too in 2017 and his fans sent djoker into retirement on TTW .
Can't blame anyone , djoker was so dominant till 2016 that he blocked slams for both Rafa and fed for many years . So they wanted him to stay injured .

They have been fighting here forever. You're not fooling anybody here @CYGS :-D. And here's news for you. Federer and Nadal have a much much better relationship with each other than with Novak. So your pathetic attempt to piggyback on Rafa's US Open victory to make yourself feel better about Novak's career threatening shoulder injury is not going to make any difference to the reality whatsoever: Neither Federer nor Nadal, like Novak. You're not winning Nadal fans' support by cosying up to them. Lol. Deal with it. It's not Federer that has been left behind. Last I checked he's still in the lead. It's Novak who's been left behind now, with time running out.

Most fans aren't civilized. Especially not hardcore fans of a specific player. You can see the obsessive level of fandom with many of these threads. It's like their lives have no other purpose other than to obsess over some tennis players. LOL

CYGS doesn't like Novak either. He just wants someone...anyone...to stop Federer. LOL

What especially united them the past decade was the constant fabrication of BS rafa and djoko stats to make their guy (prematurely) seem the goat. Now that they are both close, they are just waiting now and will then resort to valid arguments to make their case instead of bashing 2004-2007 opposition etc.. I can make one prediction though. If djokovic is on fire in 2020 and equals Nadal (beating him at RG 2020) after Wimbledon final, you will see the VB completely come apart in rage.

Honestly, how can the posts of someone’s fans on a forum influence if you like this or that player better?

Why not judge from what you see from a player himself? I can barely understand why some people are so much interested in off-court behaviour of players. I only care about playing style and on-court sportsmanship or gamesmanship etc.

But disliking someone because of a few fans? As if it’s within his powers to let them post other stuff instead.

I think a lot of people do like Federer but can't stand his fans. I'm sure it's the case for the other players too though - e.g liking nadal but not his fans

Sports has always been my passion, even though I know it's of little importance. In day-to-day life, I mostly discuss other team sports, but TTW is my only sports discussion hangout, and my addiction here is still strong - despite its dearth of original thought or civility. In fact, dueling talking points and closed-mindedness are almost as prevalent here as in political discussions. And our political world -at least from my vantage point of the US - is really screwed up.

As such, I really don't see myself as a member of one of the tribes. I love tennis, and much as I have appreciated the greats (men and women) who have preceded the Big 3, I do feel secure that I am watching the greatest of the ATGs the last (roughly) 15 years. I like them all, have evolved organically into a dual Rafa/Novak fan, without disliking Roger.

I try to align myself with those who love tennis, and are capable of intelligence, and some level of either grace, class or wit. At times, this is a futile mission. Thanks to those of you who try your best to bolster the quality of this forum without resorting to tribalism at its worst. It's only tennis, but it's kinf of a microcosm of a bigger, more essential world.

The more Federer fans keep ****ting on them, the less they will fight but I rarely see Djokodal fights on other social media anyway it's either Fedal or Fedovic fights. Besides Nolefam is so ****ing chill compared to Federer fans the vitriol isn't even the same. You can just tell by the posters here.

Well nadal fans can be quite brutal in there own way.
Have to agree deep down some nadal fans despise djokovic. Want him eradicated and erased.
2011 - 2013 had ugly displays.
Let us not forget all about the lame nick names and passive aggressive tudes.
Also "the roof gate".
Just brush it off and roll i say.
