When will the Djokovic Bubble Pop?

2015 AO was a great tournament. Only because Djokovic and Murray were in the final was it another "end of tennis" issue. AO consistently produces good matches and fresh players playing.
Not everyone is "fresh".

Seriously, a surprise winner at Roland Garros would be great for the sport. Or even a surprise finalist that's ranked outside the top 10.

With the way things are going, Monfils may live up to that dream, but we'll see.

It really would.

If Kei or Gael win, that would be awesome.

Monfils winning RG; nothing would make us ponder what could have been more than that result.

Nadal d. Matosevic 6-0 6-0 6-0

Anyone but Marinko "What's my name?" Matosevic....

It's better to have a bubble and the bubble to pop, then not have a bubble at all.

So, in no way the bubble popping is failure of any kind.

On this forum people actually thing that not trying is better than losing.
Or that being a "never-was" is better than being a "has-been"

yeah, failure comes before success even in the dictionary. No one is born knowing how to win, if one did, it would not be by its own merits. At least the top players have a bubble to burst indeed, different from the average joe who many say never stood a chance.

If Djokovic wins RG, he might pop at Wimbledon.

OTOH, he could realize the special chance he has at a CYGS at that point.

Either way (coming in with 2 or 3 GS), I expect him to go hard at the US due to lack of success there relative to what we might expect, and if he has 3 you can bet he will try hard for the 4th of the season in New York. (Whether the pressure would get to him is another matter entirely)

He better watch out for The Heat.

I think he has other issues in New York; he seems to do okay in the Aussie heat although the later round matches are at night.

The crowds don't seem to like him, especially in new York.

The Heat as in Nishikori.

Barring injury, Djoko will be the dominate player on tour through 2016. Then, I think we will see a significant drop in 2017, and he will no longer be dominate in 2018.

Having said he will be the dominate player through 2016, I still think it is doubtful he will be as dominate was Federer was in 2005-2007. Djoko seems to have difficulty maintaining his peak level and confidence. I think he has his best shot to win 3 slams in a single year this year 2015 but doubt it will happen after this year. I an not a big Djoko fan but would like to see him win RG.

Agree with every word of this. ^Truth

Where can I sign up for an epic Monfils run to a slam win? Would be awesome to see him put it all together for a fortnight of GOAT quality play.

At the French Open? I agree.

It would be sensational if he took out Nadal along the way.

Definitely at the French, if not earlier! I can't see Novak sustaining his level or the momentum that he has carried post AO.
