You cannot buy them. Head does not stock them strangely. You can maybe get Volkl ones to fit, or send the racquet out to Bosworth, Jay's Custom Stringing or some other service that offers handle remolding. Other than that, sleeves and tape are going to be your only option.

if you know anyone with a cracked or old head frame that they don't use you can cannibalize/liberate/etc. the pallets from them.

I tried that once and it didn't work out too well. The adhesive tape that they use on the pallet is hard to remove/replace. I also cracked a few of the pallets trying to get them off.

I've done it quite a few times with great success. You need to take your time when removing old pallets.

Brad Smith has said that he has taken off pallets with success. I think he said that he used a screwdriver and gradually pried along the pallets. Even so, you're still left with used pallets with a bunch of holes.

Use a 1" putty knife between the two pallets and gently twist it to separate them.

You have to twist a little in one spot then move to another spot and twist a little more and move to another spot, etc.

Take your time and work it gently and evenly - I have done it a few times - it can be done!

A screw driver may be kind of small and cause you to gouge the pallets.
