Well, I know he was coaching at Ole Miss, but I'm still kind of mystified that he didn't go more on the pro circuit after winning the NCAA's as a freshman. Particularly in doubles, he had wins over Sandgren and Peers among others. Does anyone know what he is doing these days ?

believe he is still the Asst Coach at Ole Miss unless he left after this school year.

Still coaching. Heard a podcast where he said he basically ran out of gas and of course would have done some things differently to give himself a better shot. I also know he had a problem with what he perceived as lack of concern with doping in tennis.

Devin is a good coach and in some ways, think he was fed to the wolves to quick after winning the NCAA's, he won the tournament with a nice draw, maybe cold have done 1-2 more years, but also understand the allure of going prop FT, but think he has found is niche as a coach.

The upcoming season will be a defining moment for Devin as a coach. Looking two years back, Ole Miss lost 5 starters. This year the Rebels are bringing 2 or 3 new players. Also, it marks his 4th year as an assistant coach. I would not be surprised if coach Hansson leaves for a better school and Devin becomes a head coach given his “legendary” status in Oxford.

Just out of curiosity, and I don't mean this in a negative way at all, but did he go back and get his degree ? Do you need a degree to be a head coach or not ?

Devin came back to Oxford and graduated in 2016 I believe with a Finance degree from what I can see on his instagram account. Yes, you have to have a college degree to be a college tennis coach as far as my understanding goes.

He went to Oxford ?? Are we talking about the #1 university in England ? or something else ? If he got a degree there, why is he working the lowly assistant coach job ?? He seemed like a nice guy though.

"Oxford was today declared the world's number one university for the third successive year in the latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings. Oxford, the only UK University ever to top the international rankings, sustains its position through the outstanding quality of its research, teaching and innovation.Sep 26, 2018"

I think they meant Oxford, Mississippi, where the University of Mississippi is located....

Devin is still coaching at Ole Miss and doing a great job. Played pro tennis for 7 years and then went into coaching. Highly respected by the players, coaches and does a great job using his experience to develop players. Top notch guy.
