When most people retire from whatever career they're doing, they want the satisfaction of knowing they left it all out there and that they squeezed out every ounce of their abilities towards their careers. When it comes to the big 3, which player exemplifies that the most?
Granted, they all did because no one plays tennis envisioning to win 20+ majors like they have, and for as long as they have, but relatively speaking, here are some arguments:
- Federer didn't win his first major till 22 (latest of the three), he remained a top contender against much younger players until he was nearly 40, and he kept competing till his knees were completely gone
- Nadal has dealt with the most injuries of the three, most people thought he'd never win off clay, and he is the "middle child" of the big 3
- Djokovic winning 2-3 majors for his whole career would've sounded like a heck of an achievement as recent as 2010, and even in 2014, no one would've envisioned Novak winning as much as he did
