Which Blade 98 has the closest feel to the 2013 Blade 93?

Ive been using the 2013 Blade 93 for about 2 years now and love it. However, there are times where I wouldn’t mind a little more forgiveness from a larger head size. I recently picked up a pair of n6.1 95’s as they have a near identical spec to the Blade 93. They do play similarly but despite the similarity in weight, balance and swingweight, the 6.1’s seem to swing heavier and are less maneuverable.

I’m aware all iterations of the blade 98 are fairly far off spec wise but it’s nothing a little lead won’t fix. I’m just wondering which blade 98 has the closest feel to the 93? I’ve tried the black and gold BLX blade but didn’t like it as much. Thanks

I would go with the Blade 98 (18x20) (2015 version), although we only have (1/4) grip size left in-stock. The next best option would be the Blade 98 (18x20) Countervail, but this version is more muted feeling with the addition of the CV technology. I figure that you are looking to stick with Wilson, specifically the Blade, but if you're open to try other brands, you may also want to consider the Yonex VCORE Duel G 97 (310g). With this 310g version, you could add weight to your desired specs. The Yonex VCORE Duel G 97 (330g) version is pretty close to the specs of the Blade 93 (2013), but may feel a bit more hefty like the 6.1 95. Definitely worth a demo, if possible.

Thanks Troy! Appreciate your feedback. We seem to have similar taste in rackets. Will definitely give the Duel G 97 a go. Thanks :)
