Which country are you from

Don't know if this has been done before but I was curious where people are from on this forum... I am guessing mainly the US but where else?

South Africa

Please explain the mysterious joke
A few months back there was a thread started by someone called "Rafa is the Goat" (RITG). It went into several thousand posts in a short time. I was one of the supporting actors in that "tread". (You never posted there, most sensible posters avoided it like the plague). This dude wrote really funny English full of mistakes and we all adopted his English. Most of his posts went "where is sentinel, i miss him". He even went into other threads and "looked around" for me.

Some posters got him banned and that "tread" deleted. He was totally harmless. He came back 2 times but immediately got banned. Seems he was doing the same thing on MTF, don't know if he is still there... "precentaging Rafa's chances to win a CYGS", "i am biggest rafa fan in hole world" ...

I pretended i was from Tuvalu, everyone else got that it was a joke except for him.

SuperDuy:
I have a few south korean friends, they always say sheeba dont know what that means.

It's actually shee bal. Technically it's the number 18 -- but it's actually a cuss word meaning motherf**ker or b***h.

If they're calling you that, they're not really your friends.

Also, where are all the American people? I honestly thought many of you who posted here were American.

^^^Us Americans are insecure about where we're from, we think the thread is just interested in exotic locales.

By the way, I think Mesa is in the USA, or at least the country of Arizona. You're not claiming us?

It is. It's actually the state of Arizona in the country of the USA (Gabrielle Giffords incident a few weeks ago happened in Tucson, Arizona).

I'm LIVING in America, in Arizona but I'm from South Korea.

I Am Jose Verdascos lost child, Fernando is my brother.

I guess that makes me Spanish, no?

I am not insecure at all about being American.

And I will agree with your point that when you ask people around this country what country they are from most answer with where their ancestors came from. I dont get why but that seems to be the answer you get.

USA, the next closest thing would be my grandfather coming over from Italy, but my parents and I all speak English, no accent (normal Americans I guess) If you ask people at my school they would ask if Connecticut was a country (not kidding, two NJ kids asked me this). I just said it was next to Germany.

I guess it is a forbidden word, excuse me all to heck. We're talking a compound word, first syllable 'mid' referring to the more or less central part of the USA.

That word is also a name of another online tennis retailer, that's why it's blocked.

Anyways, originally from the Philippines, naturalized US citizen, living in the sunny state of Connecticut. I thought we already did a thread like this way back.

I just think the blocking of the word ******* is so odd. It's an innocuous word if ever there was one.

By the way, a few years back there was a ******* parody of the Hawaiian shirt called the ******* shirt, with tractors on it, barns, etc., rather than palms and hibiscus.

^^^Is that the same ******* as we were skating around earlier, or have you introduced a new obscenity? I feel kind of like Richard Pryor!

TW Message Board-Commandment #1:

TW is the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not have any midwest gods before me.

What's that 500 lb. 'gorilla' of a word we're tip-toeing around?...Midwest? Me, I don't do business with Midwest and my often-used "card on file" at TW in San Luis Abysmal can attest to that. I will say this though: I did like the music Midwest used in their Tennis Channel commercial during the Aussie Open.

But just in case some mod throws a rod: do NOT shop Midwest.

It's TW FTW
