I would imagine most people will say FH. I'm interested in a stats sample just out of curiosity. In my case it's the BH (SBH).

I make less errors on the backhand but that's probably because I don't really go for it like I do, all too often, on the forehand.

I would say my single handed backhand has become reliable but when someone really hits with pace to it, I'm in trouble (like Fed!!! And Sureshs!!).

My 1hbh à la Kuerten [some say it's more like Almagro but anyhow...] and Ljubicic [high backhand return].

My FH is a bigger shot and I can go down the line
I use it as offense . It's my only 4.5 shot

My BH has no firepower but consistent and I always go cross court and can hit slices on the run

My serve is what gets me angry and mad

I am good off both sides but my serve is a huge weak spot
My serve is actually the only weapon I have but good opponents can learn how to read it after a set or so.

Picture me as a right-hander Gilles Muller with Feli's backhand, hahahahaha

Much easier to fix a broken BH than a stinker serve ??

hahahahah it's being quite hard to fix my bh because I'm as injury-prone as Brian Baker. I suffered from Tennis Elbow and had to change sticks twice, but the main problem is that my footwork it's been a mess ever since I had a knee surgery in oct14 - I never got my form back, then I had another surgery to correct my crooked septum and apparently I'll have to do another - hand ligaments (...)

My slices are good and my drop shots are deadly but that's it, in 5 stroke rally I'll probably net with a backhand.

Then with so many injuries it's better to try to stay fresh
Sorry to hear

It used to be my backhand but moving to a larger racquet and the modern forehand has changed the balance to favor the forehand.

It's close, but my footwork on the backhand it's much better and I have easier power on it (it's one-handed). The forehand is in general easier to hit for me but I do a lot of things wrong technically.

When it comes to matchplay, I trust my forehand a lot more but I suck at playing matches anyway. :') That thing where you can hit very high-level balls when you play freely but play like a beginner when the points actually count.

Yes I was expecting at least a say 65/35 stat with FH dominating. But then again it's a really small sample

I was surprised too. Many years ago, I actually preferred hitting backhands to forehands and would slide to my right to hit a backhand return of service. Then I switched to a SW from an Eastern and the forehand got a lot easier to time and hit and I started adding open and semi-open stances. I eventually got larger-headed racquets and those benefitted the forehand while requiring adjustments in the backhand. Now I routinely run or drift around my backhand to hit a forehand. So for me it has been a long road to a much different forehand which has me preferring that side.

I hit hard off both wings. My FH is a bit more of a rally shot in that I don't go for winners with it that often. My OHBH though, that is a shot where I WILL go for the kill at any given opportunity, come hell or high water. To round it off, I'm equally terrible off both wings.

2HBH was always more solid and consistent, and I've always had faith in it. I hit more winners, more angles, more depth, more everything, except maybe topspin. I don't know if it has anything to do with being a lefty and converting to a righty before I started tennis.

The FH has gone from bad, to decent, to consistent but boring. I feel like I'm not turning enough on that side, and am just arming the ball.

I consider my backhand is stronger than my forehand. While both my forehand and backhand are solid, I just feel better about my backhand; and, during a prolonged game I notice my forehand wears down a little my backhand stays solid throughout.

BH is a more reliable defensive shot for me against a monster serve, BH drop shot is better, BH dink shot is better.

But FH is better for cross court and DTL winners. More pace, topspin, and more accurate.

I think that before they had robots the poor human and equine in your avatar had to enter Ground Zero and pull all the Sureshsian Deposits with a cart.

You deserve the highest decoration in recognition of your bravery in the face (and I use the term "face" liberally here) of danger. You deserve the Brown Asterisk of Fortitude.

I have watched many of the best players in my State play tennis for years.

I have only seen two male players whose backhand is stronger than their forehand.

Myself - have only played against one possibly two players whose backhands were stronger.

My backhand is consistent and nearly always cross court but lacks pace.

My forehand cross court is somewhat weak too.

My forehand flat topspin down the line is my only real weapon.

It sounds like me :)

I can hit my single handed backhand Harder than my forehand, its more direct, normal level of topspin, the FH is more consistent but goes much higher, crazy spin, I dont fight it just let it happen, so fh is 'stronger' but the bh would by far be my stronger side if I could shorten it slightly, to that end im trying kevlar strings..

I'm working hard at getting my backhand to hit as hard and spinny as my forehand.

My forehand when "on" (which is now thankfully for weeks at a time rather than minutes nowadays) is quite difficult to handle at my level (I'm guessing 4.0-low 4.5). I've been told many times at how violent the spin and pace is on my forehand side, but not so much on my backhand. Mostly my backhand is a flatter rally shot, meaning that I lose my advantage when my opponent goes to my backhand. I've slowly developed a spinny 2HBH now, and I'm hoping to really work on that so that I can hit heavy groundstrokes off both wings.

Next on my to-do list is to increase the bounce height of my second serves, so I can hold serve easily.

My BH - topspin and slice combined - is more reliable but my go to shot for attack is definitely the forehand. I am surprised too that so many people have rated their backhand as their better side. I will say this that ideally I use both shots in tandem. Like say an inside out forehand into the opponent's backhand followed by a cross court slice to come in. If I was missing the backhand, it would hamper me but much less than if I kept missing the forehand.
