Gotta love it when your favourite player just comes in every year and literally "collects" his Grand Slam title. Like a king collecting taxes from the populace. Ridiculous.

Nadal had 2 championship points to beat Tsitsipas 64 64 at Barcelona yesterday.
This despite Nadal not serving well, and Tsitsipas being in absolutely peak form.
Nadal has a much bigger advantage at Roland Garros, because the court dimensions are so unique, and Nadal knows it inside-out.
I seriously doubt Tsitsipas will even take a set.

Tsitsipas wasn't in absolute peak form, the form he showed in mc final previous week that was peak Tsitsipas and if he had brought that level then he would have won in straight sets although it might not be possible to play at that level due to matchup for Tsitsipas

Has to Djokovic. No one has beaten Rafa even half as much Novak has and if Rafa got to pick his finals opponent, Nole would be the last guy he’d choose.

Djokovic got absolutely dominated last year. I don’t ever want to see that matchup again at RG after that performance. Tsitsipas was too passive and doesn’t have the killer instinct to try to finish points over 5 sets. The only guy that has a chance is Thiem if he comes in 100% rested and ready to go. He was absolutely gassed the last two years. Maybe this year the time off will help him. Its too bad we don’t have a 2006/2007 Federer to take this version of Nadal out.

Djokovic has every tool in the box to neutralize Nadal.

Not the mentality:

2012 RG final: Broken on championship point with a DF.
2014 RG final: Broken on championship point with a DF.
2020 RG final: Bageled/lost in straight sets.

Nadal needs to reach the finals first. He's the favourite for sure. Yet it's a bit premature to already crown him the FO21 champ.
