Roger Federer was basically defined by this period and Djokovic from 2014 onwards has been just phenomenal at Slams.
If we go be % of slam won by played -
Federer won 17 out of 37 played- 46%
Djokovic won 17 out of 32 played- 53%
It’s just amazing to see how Djokovic’s record in this period is far better than Roger’s and basically one can only pick this period for Roger to compare against Djokovic but for Novak one can filter out more.

I just don't understand why would you cut out 2011 just like that, which is level wise like his best season ever? Not to mention that in the start of 2012 Djokovic and Nadal played they greatest grand slam match ever in the final!...i mean sure Novak from RG 2012 till RG 2014 might have lost more grand slam finals, than he should have, but it's not like he didn't win any either...from AO 2011 till AO 2013, that is 5 grand slams cut just like that, more than Federer has managed to win beyond 2012...

This is basically a period I felt as a 9 year period was better to compare against Roger in terms of results

Between the start of 2011 and the end of 2013 (including WTF) Novak has won - 5 grand slams, 2 WTF titles and 11 masters titles! That is 18 big titles cut from his resume...it's just bogus...Even with all the problems Novak had between 2012 and 2014, he still was more dominant player than Fedal winning more matches against them, more titles, more big titles etc, spending more time as world number one etc...he was still the best player during that period, the only problem is that he underperformed in GS finals during those period, losing 5 of them and winning only 3...people on this forum make it sound like 2012, 2013 and 2014 seasons for Novak are the same as 2009, 2010 and 2017...LOL They were weaker than most of his multi-slam winning seasons sure, but not as weak as some people imply, by many standards there would still be considered as great tennis seasons! in 2012 for example Novak has won 1 slam, 3 masters titles and WTF title in the end, in 2013 he won 1 slam, 3 masters and once again WTF title in the end, in 2014 he won 1 slam, 4 masters title and won his 3rd WTF title in a row!! Bad seasons??! I don't f*king think so man...

Well they both played Nadal so that kind of cancels out. Though Fed did play the better Nadal in 07/08 than Djoker did in 11/18. From there... I mean who did Djoker play that was better than 04/05 Roddick outside of Nadal? I guess older Fed. But again thats up in the air since 09 Fed barely beat 09 Roddick. How about a tie? LOL

11-19 Federer was much, MUCH better than Roddick could hope to be. 2009 was a once in a lifetime combination of Roddick playing his best ever grass tennis and Federer's backhand performing even worse than usual which allowed Roddick into rallies on his serve games, and allowed Roddick to hold serve by going to his backhand. With his usual sub 200 backhand, Federer's brilliant serving and forehand on that day would have put Roddick away in 4 comfortable sets.

I give Novak more credit winning those 3 FO's when Federer was gifted his lone title due to upset of Nadal by Soderling! Novak competed & defeated Nadal more! :( ;)

Martin/Pioline arent great but Henman would be a Wimbledon champ today if Djoker wasn't around LOL. Easy

Yeah yeah sure...i wonder what happened to Henman in the transitional period between the start of 2001 and up until RG 2003 (right before Federer's first slam title)...according to your logic Henman should have been winning those, right?...oh wait...

Henman was only very good on grass but on other surfaces he could be beaten by anyone.
He could have won Wimbledon 2001 but he choked against Ivanisevic in the semifinals and the rain obviously didn't help him.
I think he could have beaten Rafter, too, although the final would have been a toss up.
:D

So Nadal was prime in '07-08. He won his first non-RG in '08. So he was prime after winning his first non-RG? I say he was prime in '11, because he only lost to Djokovic and beat anyone else.

Federer (03-12): defeated Nadal, Djokovic, Murray for 2 out of 8 championships
Djokovic (14-23): defeated Nadal (2x), Federer (3x) for 5 out of his 7 championships

Can't compare Federer run with some mug era vulturing since 2019.

It should be 2011-16.

Or let say till both turned 30.

Federer 17
Nadal. 14
Djokovic 12

Federer beat Hewitt who beat Nadal at AO and Roddick who beat djoker at AO. So your logic of falls flat.

Djoker Nadal or Murray aren't standards to tough competition. 2005 AO version Safin trumps All.

Henman was old by that era standards and court was lightening fast and any big server could take racket out of your hand.
