Which in form player does Federer fear most from Group B at WTF?

Given that Federer has beaten Sock and with Cilic and Zverev not at their best after the first round, who poses the greatest threat to Federer in the hard court form of their life?

Facts:
1. Goffin and Dimitrov have never beaten Federer
2. Federer lost his last two matches with Thiem
3. Nadal used to give Federer a lot of trouble on hard courts.

Goffin, Thiem, and Dimitrov off to a pretty good start, but the answer has to be an in form PCB.

For the umpteenth time we have to inform you that the 4 wins of Zverev and Thiem over a sick/injured Fed DOES not count (Rome , Stuttgart, Halle, Montreal )

Even the players themselves don't talk about those matches .

LOL. Pick your poison TA. Fed will face at least one of them in the semi-finals. Zverev is in Group A and not in the poll.

Sounds like you'd prefer Thiem to come through, but the question comes down to who poses the biggest potential threat?

Z has a small chance tomorrow. Would never beat Fed in the knockout stage though.

The others, no chance at all unless Fed's form seriously dives. Especially Thiem.
Thiem could stumble into the semi-finals lol. Goffin just went hammer and tongs with Nadal today and Dimitrov will not be a pleasant reward the next round; Thiem could vulture a WTF semi-final and play himself into some decent form.

Zverev is in Group A so whatever Fed's fears on that front are about to be realized.:D

Federer fans should be confident, but the loss of one set in RR would be a sure sign of physical issues. Good news for Federer being moved to Sunday play so he'll only face back to back matches in SF and Finals.

Fed's likely to finish top of his group which means he'll play the #2 of the other group in the semis

Final will likely be two players from Fed's group

There's not much to 'fear' here... I'd say 'not get too complacent' would be a better way of putting what Fed needs to do

That he's so far ahead of the field is to his credit... Nadal, even if completely healthy and great player though he is, would not be a certainty against this crowd

Fear? Certainly none. He’s probsbly more cornrned about Cilic and Zverev than anyone from the other side.
Both of whom did not look strong in their opening match. Thiem, Goffin, and Dimitrov look better than those two. Fed fans need to keep an eye on group B.o_O

If Fed himself is in form, then none of them. If something bad happens to Fed's back then I think Busta would have the highest shot(still low), not even joking lol.

Dimitrov and Goffin will bow down to Fed like they always do and Thiem will probably hit himself out of the match if he gets out of RR by some chance. Busta would probably lose to a bad back Fed as well, but he will put the ball in play.

Fair.

A nextgen win at the Tour Finals would be a serious coup. Let's wait and see.

Well PCB leading the poll in the early going so fear of humiliation seems to be winning.:D

Fed is going to need a massive choke/injury to lose this tournament. Unless Zverev brings the Citi Open form of course. Fraud lucked out that Busta was not in the tournament from the start :D

I'd like to watch Federer Thiem again. Federer clowning Dimitrov has gotten old.

Definitely Thiem. If he is on fire he could beat Federer even on grass.
I don’t remember having seen Thiem fireworks.

This poll will fail because there is not a “None of the above” choice.

On this surface he fears none of them, but Rafa is still Rafa and as Annacone said, don't underestimate the great players

Not to underestimate a great champion here, but Rafa has withdrawn from the tournament.

PCB to light it up and shock the world in two mammoth sets vs Switzerland's finest on Sunday.

The two players who would have a solid shot against Federer if in form, which are Novak and Delpo, aren't even there. He is sweeping this tournament, guaranteed.

It's really quite simple to chose one of the 4. He won't be playing none of the above. Amazing result with PCB winning the poll. Does this mean Federer fearing embarrassment is a factor?
Chart below shows another loss to Donskoy would be less embarrassing:

Well Fed vs Zed hardly confidence inspiring so this question more germane than ever. Quite confident Federer would want to play Goffin.
