Which is better? Ultra 2 boron Midsize Vs. PS 85

I've played with the modern version of the PS 85, the old Mid Size version(think it's Taiwan), and the St. Vincent Jack Kramer Staff.

Of the two PS 85 versions, I don't think there's any difference, except for the printed label and a slimmer neck on the Taiwan version. The St. V. JK Staff midsize is the same mold as the PS 85 with 20% fiberglass instead of kelvar. It's slightly heavier and plays little bit stiffer. And it's not the strings, because I have Natural Gut on there. I'm still tweaking with this racquet.

I just bought a used Ultra 2 boron, it's being delivered tomorrow. I was just wondering if there's any experienced user, who have played with these types of racquets. Please share your Thoughts.

Thanks,

Wilson Ultra 2

I used the Ultra 2 midsize and standard. Very stiff frame, good power. The Pro Staff's back then were pretty flexable. I didn't like them. My Wilson rep tried to get me to use the Pro Staff but I wanted the Ultra 2 so that's what I got in my contract. I loved that racquet.

The Ultra 2 Mid is best suited for a stronger backcourt player who hits generally flat balls, because it's not as headlight/manuveurable as the PS Mid. The Ultra 2 is also stiffer than the PS Mid.

I used the Ultra Mid for quite a few yrs. really liked it ! Very solid & nice power from the backcourt.
