Seems to me that, whenever I want to crush a waist-high ball, I do this better using my 1hbh with moderate top spin; but if a ball ever lands in my mid court or just inside the baseline on my forehand side and it jumps up to shoulder height, I really have a hard time not launching myself into the ball, straightening my legs, and trying to crush it because of how good the feeling is of blasting forehands at that height.
But as for which side is my stronger, it's hard to say because, I feel like there are those rare days when my forehand is cudgeling opponents to death, but on other days when my backhand is "locked in," it is clearly much stronger than my opponent's such that he nervously avoids it.
What keeps me motivated is the fact that I haven't ever been able to weave together all of the different pieces of my game into a cohesive statement yet.
There have been days when all I was serving all day long were napalm ropes. Days when I've hit 70mph forehand winners from my backcourt repeatedly. Days when my transition game was like flowing water, and there was no place--no matter how deep--on my side of the court from which I couldn't kill an overhead putaway.
But never a day when everything came together as one. This is the day that I am working towards realizing, and once I get there, the quest will become to remain there.
