According to James' post match interview, James talked to the chair about enforcing the coaching rule. He never spoke to Calleri, just the chair. Calleri's camp was talking a lot, and James felt like the chair should enforce the rules. Calleri didn't like it, and started talking smack to James, who basically said, "Hey, I never said anything to you." When James held up new tennis balls in a service game, Calleri didn't acknowledge him, and you could here James say 'new balls?' over to Calleri. Calleri would still talk to him during changeovers and also at the end of the match, and James said something like 'hey, I'll talk to you anytime'. James tried talking to him as Calleri left the court, and Calleri just walked away, while being booed by the crowd.

What was James talking about when he was talking about coaching? Was he mad at Calleri's coach or what? I forgot what he said in his post match interview. But I do remeber Blake and Calleri's coach having some exchanges. And that spurred the conversstion between the Char umpire and Blake and they got into a small agurement as well.

My take on it was that Blake thought Calleri's camp was coaching from the stands, and as Blake said in the interview...Blake is a stickler for rules, and wanted the chair ump to do something, I guess, about Calleri's camp.

Calleri, not surprisingly, had a problem with Blake point that out, though Blake was right, he never did address anything toward Calleri.

I believe the conversation with the chair ump and Blake came first, but I don't know for sure.
