Which matchup has been more lopsided?

Nadal Djokovic - 20-8 on clay
Djokvic Nadal - 20-7 on HC

So it looks like HC is more lopsided but slams wise it is Clay.
Just the idea that they met 28 times on clay (30% of the tour) and 27 times on HC (60% of the tour) clearly shows the comfort of each of them showing up against the other on those surfaces.
Nadal is all about confidence, and getting smacked on HC (especially last decade) has caused him to avoid direct matchups when possible (2019 AO was the last mistake he made of showing up).
Novak, easily forgets the loss, moves on, keeps showing up on clay year after year where Nadal is clearly dominant over anyone last 20 years…

Nole is a champion. No need to hide.

This is one of those threads to bookmark for an enjoyable re-read of Djoker fandom at its best, like that one where they argued in support of AO 23’s QFs (will share that here too: )

Yeah, before Nole Era, in the Fedal Era, Fedal really milk their H2H against Nole.
But surprisingly, it is NOT enough.
Djokovic is number 2 in what 1 of these matches if even that. He was still at least able to take a set on clay vs Nadal. But Nadal though has been total failure vs him for a decade.

I remember certain fans arguing any draw is easy for Djokovic at the AO

All surfaces are equally important and clay has way more tradition than HC. Why not exclude grass by your logic in which case Djokovic would only have 17 slams.

If you exclude each player (from the Big 3) greatest slam you get:

- Djokovic 14
- Federer 12
- Nadal 8

Obviously, it looks better for Djokovic if you exclude Wimbledon but that's not his best slam.

And how the hell is this relevant to the topic?

Anyway, it's a meaningless stat when there are four slams and MORE THAN HALF of the meetings were at the same slam.

Clay specialist milks 10 on the clay, more than 3 other venues combined, thanks for slam draw rigging too.

Fed was in prime till 2018 AO. He was already taken over H2H by Nole in 2016 itself before going away.

Nole can't be accused to duck Federer either because fed was out for most of 2016 and Djokovic was out for just half of 2017. And fed skipped 2017 and 2018 clay season.

So by 2016 AO the slam H2H was 9-6.
Djokovic lead 2-1 in Wimby
3-3 in USO was a wash
1-1 rg was too low a volume. Fed skipped 2016 RG as well.
3-1 in ao was already high.

Djokovic lead in 2 slams.
Federer lead in 0 slams.

Also if Wimby 2019 and AO 20 are to be removed then AO 2007 should also be removed. Djokovic was 38 ranked player then. He was barely Djokovic.

Oh dear lord. Here we go again.

Beijing 2013 2-0
ATP Finals 2013 2-0
Miami 2014 2-0
Beijing 2015 2-0
ATP finals 2015 2-0
Doha 2016 2-0. IMO This is the best thrashing of all time 6-1 6-2
IW 2016 2-0
AO 2019 3-0
ATP cup 2020 2-0

So a total of 19 sets won in a row. Djokovic ended him on HC. On clay even before 2011 Djokovic at least was competitive. Nadal has been non competitive for a decade now. Some would say, Nadal will never be a threat to him ever again.

He ended him on HC?

Yet hes won 2 USO's and an AO, making another final, since he last beat Djokovic on HC.

Absolutely zero logic to your statement.

Almost every AO and USO final since 2014 ? Do you even follow tennis ?

6/10 AO finals, and 5/10 USO finals .... barely 50% LOL

Great logic !
He got banned in 2022. Banned. Nadal won in 2022.

He skipped first ever slam in his career in 2017 and Nadal played vs ridiculous opposition on his way to the title.

2019 is one good win he has. As he never was making to Djokovic in slams we have to go out of slams ONLY. But you keep bringing only slam results.

Miami kept him titleless
ATP finals kept him titleless
Australian open kept him titleless until Djokovic was banned
