Which Non-Grand-Slam-Winner has the best chances to win Australian Open 2018?

The young giys will take over eventually, but the only "transition" I see in the immediate future is the Big 4 winning 2 or 3 slams in a year instead of all 4.

Still too early to predict anything concretely. I think Murray is done, his body seems to have given up. Djokovic is a big unknown yet, and it was clear Federer's body could break down anytime last year even though he had a successful year. Then, Nadal has his own injury problems and pulled out of Brisbane. Big 4 may all be retired by 2020. Also, some of the young guys have big game and can have a crazy 2 week-run. I think 2018 will be even more unpredictable than last year.

Well, I dare to be different from you and say "if youngsters don't win this time, they will surely do it in the future." :)

I enjoy watching Brisbane this year. This is like the tennis tourney from the future. No big 4, but some of the best of the future generation playing top tennis. What about Doha? Dimitrov, Zverev, Kyrgios, Thiem, Shapovalov, Edmund, Chung, Rublev, de Minaur, Tsitsipas and even Coric, all these young guns will take over from the old guys soon. I think 2018-2019 will be the real transition era.

i think they will never "take over"...it`s more like that the big dogs ends his carrers and the young guns can take it away....but not because they beat them.

so future tennis will be a second devison and not the premier league anymore....
