Which of these is the most durable?

SonRK

Semi-Pro
I originally put Prince Duraflex 17g on his racquet and he popped it in a week or so. Now he wants something more durable BUT does not want to use a poly/kevlar hybrid.

I don't know if I have to go out my way to buy some strings for him but I'll list the non-poly strings I currently have to see which one is the most durable.

Prince Duraflex 17g
Gosen OG Sheep 16g and 17g
Forten Competition Nylon
Tecnifibre X-1 Biphase 16g
Babolat VS Touch Gut 16g
Prince Synthetic Gut Multifilament 16g
Head FXP Control 17g
Gamma Professional 16g
Gamma Livewire XP 16g
Gamma Revelation 16g

you might want to get him a 16g, but i heard duraflex is longlasting

it depends on the player
im a 4.0 and duraflex doesnt last long.

if you want cheap get forten nylon reel.
but i highly suggest the prince poly/ syn gut set up
love it.

depends what type of style u play too, but he doesnt want a poly, so i just suggested that, which looks the most durable out of that batch

Out of that group you don't have a lot of latitude. In my view it's Gosen in the 16 gauge--with string savers added this time--or $10 for that Forten.

Yea I know I don't have that good of a durability list. Most of those on that list just last me a week too, or 1.5 at most. Anyways yea I also have some Luxilons and Pro Hurricanes, but he requested no Poly so those are out of the question.

out of that list, psgd is most durable (its part kevlar). he could try 16g. but if anything, i would highly suggest trying polys or poly hybrids

There is still an intermediate level left to you before you go there, although it means ordering something in:

Prince's Topspin 15L
Head's RIP Control
Prince's Lightning Power
Head's FXP

The last two blend nylon with some polyester in a single string; better tension maintenance that way.

I thought about Head RIP Control based on J011yroger's sticky, or even Prince Recoil.

Both of those sound like they would be durable without reaching the Poly level.

Gamma Marathon, 16 or 15L, is a step up in durability. Many of today's polys are soft enough not to be a problem for many; string it with "any" syn gut as a hybrid (which also brings the price down).
