Which of these streaks do you think will end in 2018?

1. Nadal's streak of winning at least one title for 14 consecutive years.
2. Nadal's streak of reaching at least one Masters final in a year for 13 consecutive years.
3. Nadal's streak of 13 consecutive year end rankings in the top 10.

4. Djokovic's streak of winning at least one title for 12 consecutive years.
5. Djokovic's streak of reaching at least one Grand Slam quarterfinal in a year for 12 consecutive years.

6. Murray's streak of winning at least one title for 12 consecutive years.
7. Murray's streak of reaching at least one Grand Slam semifinal in a year for 10 consecutive years.

Note: because of his 2016, Federer doesn't really have any long streaks to continue.

1,2,3 are extremely unlikely. With Djoker and Andy a lot will depend on their injuries. For me 6 or 7 seems most likely because of recent surgery...

I think both of Murray's streaks shall end.

Btw, regarding Federer, he's now reached at least one GS QF (and SF) for 16 consecutive years, 2003-2018. I think only Newcombe previously reached a slam QF for 16 consecutive years (1962-1977), and no man has reached a slam SF for that many consecutive years previously.

Hasn't Federer now reached at least a Grand Slam SF for 16 years? Of course, he has already made sure that won't be broken this year.

7. A 250 isn't easy to get, but Murray might to get back into the swing of things. A semifinal, though, is a lot tougher, and he only has 3 chances left this year.

- None of the Nadal streaks will end.

- With Djokovic it is difficult: He could have a real comeback, but even if not he could go for a small tournament like Eastbourne last year and maybe reach a QF at US Open.

- For Murray it’s almost the same: He could play small tournaments in the last part of the season and win something like Valencia in 2014. However, I think it is very unlikely for him to reach a Slam SF.

It’s all an act. Deep down, there’s a small, insecure Nadal fan girl inside vive le beau jeu banging to get out.

Probably, yes. Problem is, she's barely making any noise at all, and the rest of vive hasn't been hearing her for quite some time--she's probably in his mental version of Serena's panic room, too well-insulated to be heard or get out, and you can bet vive threw out the key ages ago. :D
