It woud take an injured Nadal for Fed to get the FO...

Nadal may win the US or the AO once....but I think iNadal is usually beat up by the time the USO comes around , also, the AO seems to be his weaker slam.
The other guys are just not good enough.

Having Tsonga or Safin even on the poll is criminal. The most important poll option of all is missing as well: "NOBODY".

Djokovic could have a shot once Fed and Nadal are gone.

He's done well at every Slam.

Too bad for him Nadal is only one year older then him. It is hard for me to believe there would not be clay or grass court players emerge better then Djokovic on those surfaces well before then, many years down the road in Nadal's case, anyway.

The only problem is that he's the same age as Nadal. I still think Djokovic could potentially win all four. Obviously the French would be his biggest challenge but he's proved that the only one standing in his way is Rafa and you never know with injuries what could happen in the future.

If it's anybody on that list, Nadal and/or Djokovic. Nadal is 1/2 of the way there as it is. Djokovic has made the semifinals of all 4 events and has once title. Del Potro needs to win some bigger clay events and show he can play on grass. As it is, Potro has a fair shot at USO and AO.

Pretty correct conclusion. Fed never will get the FO and Nadal never the USO.

Murray may end up winning some slams but not the FO. Djoko could win the FO one day but I don't see him win Wimby.

Anyway, to win the carreer grand slam you need a bit of luck. Agassi's was more a fluke than anything else.

Federer is getting worse on clay so is logical to conclude he won't win Roland Garros, but Nadal is getting much better on hardcourt each year, now Semi of both hardcourt slam so a good chance yeh?

Nadal has a chance to do it, as he really improved on the hard courts. Federer's chance to win the FO is slim, and he can win it IMO only when he's not facing Nadal. However, Nadal won't be as dominant as Fed in all the non-clay grand slams.

in my opinion, Federer is just one match away from it. Nadal is practically an immovable force on clay, I agree, but you never know how the cookie crumbles. Federer needs just a bit of luck, for things to fall his way, to get it. He's made 3 FO finals in a row, while Nadal has yet to make a final at AO n USO. Just because Nadal is younger doesn't mean that he's closer to the career slam than Federer is.

Having said that, if anyone does it, it'll be one of these two. Anyone else is out of the question.

Who is voting for Roger, seriously?:?

We know 100% Roger won't have a golden career slam, and a career slam is very very doubtful.

your post is a fluke....

Marat.

Writing off Roger is not a good thing to do. Is it probable? probably not. Is it possible? Of course. He's beaten Nadal on clay before.

Just look at the people who said he wouldn't win the USO.

Also, it looks like NadalWonWimbledonAgain got banned, no?

maybe a different avatar. it is typical raftard... i know one who has at least 3...

The only one who has a chance is Federer. If Nadal is injured then Federer could win the FO. There is no other scenario that works IMO. Nadal is playing at his peak IMO and he still couldn't win the USO, even with a cupcake draw.

For Nadal to win the USO he'll have to play less tournaments. AO he has a good chance though; it's the start of the year and he'll be fresh.

IMO Djokovic will be around a good deal longer than Nadal. Nadal's style of play is just so physically taxing. So he'll have his chance at the French.

It should be option for none, since it is most likely.

Out of listed only Djokovic has remote chance. Federer will never win RG and Nadal will never win both HC slams.

Nadal obviously has to improve his results on the Grand Slam hard courts (not just the Tennis Masters Series which he has done well of late) in order to have a realistic chance to capture the 2 missing from his resume.
Federer has the best chance in terms of odds because he only has to win the French. I don't think we should completely write Federer off just yet (even though clay is not his best surface). Looking back at history, Lendl lost his first 3 US Open finals (branded a "choker"), then proceeded to prove everyone wrong by winning the next 3 in-a-row. (I think Lendl ended with 8 straight US Open finals). Also, remember Andrés Gómez from Ecuador? He won the French Open when he was 30 years old. Federer is only 27, so I think we should cut him some slack :)

See you at Wimbledon, sucker.

You're right, man.

Federer's my last choice, too. I mean, Tsonga's got like, 13 Slams, including 3 French Open finals. His chances are pretty good, though.

You feel that Roger can beat Nadal at the French Open? That is a laugh after the last match. That was hard to watch, I was thinking "So is Roger going to play?".

I'm don't understand how anyone can say that Federer's chances of making the career slam is doubtful when he owns every major title (at least 3 times each) and the only many to beat him, in the championship match no less, in the last three years has been Nadal.

Federer's arguably the second best "clay court" player on tour right now. With a little luck favoring a no-show from Nadal at RG and Federer's gotta like his chances in 2009.

it's doubtful because he's the second best. also the fact that federer is getting older. and getting beaten so badly in the FO this year doesn't help anyone's perception that he'll win the FO. there's a chance, but unlikely unless nadal gets injured.
