Which polys notch the LEAST

Interested to hear from people’s own experience which polys resist notching the best. Specific brands, models, etc.

Hawk Touch didn't notch alot for me
Head Hawk 1.30
Head Lynx Tour 1.30

Most stiff 1.30's won't notch alot, obviously depends on your level and stroke/play style and racquet.

I wish they made Hawk Touch in 1.15 mm. I think it would be great. I’m keen on the thinner gauges to lessen the SW on my overspec gravity pro, but I often run into notable notching with thinner polys. Typically equates to less snapback as a result

Haha. Yeah, you’re prolly right. But I mean this forum exists so all of us tennis geeks can go down these rabbit holes and share ideas, information, and experience
It's what makes a forum interesting.
To your question at hand, you can also have a try on kevlar
Another option would be zyex
If you want a more euh 'trendy' string. Give Restring Zero a shot

I'm also a big fan of thin polys, unfortunately most notch fairly quickly, especially below 1.20 guage.

However, I'd try Poly Tour Strike 1.20. Very durable and good tension maintenance considering its guage. Also it feels a bit thinner than 1.20.

Maybe also Volkl V-Pro 18 (1.18), it's a stiffer string with good control, it's been awhile since I played it so I don't remember how quickly it notched.

I was eyeing the V-Pro 18. I saw a number of negative comments on the forum about it, but a lot of the time that really comes down to preference. Maybe I’ll have to give it a shot.

Volkl strings have a little stiffer feel, not as "smooth" but not far off from some Solinco strings or other mid-range priced strings.

V-Pro is very solid for the price, even better if you can catch it on sale.
I say go for it.

Head lynx tour 17. Longest lasting of all polys I've tried by far. The champaign version seems to maintain playability the longest too.
Just insane really even after 50 hrs. I should just cut it but curious to see how long it'll go as long as my elbow doesn't complain.
It won't notch at all, likely due to its harder shell construction which makes it a heavier string than others.

Generally, I find both ReString and Toroline offerings are pretty notch resistant due to how slick they are, and even when they do start to notch, the slickness still allows snapback.

@Chairman3 per your suggestion I strung up the Volkl V-Pro tonight. I settled on the 1.18 gauge (black) at 45# in my gravity pro 2021. Initial impressions off the stringer are all positive. It has a pretty slick surface and a nice medium-firm stiffness. I get the impression it will pocket the ball nicely and also have some crispness to it. Can't wait to take it on court (y)

Glad to hear it, hope it works out.
Volkl is another brand that has some really good strings outside their staples (cyclone and cyclone tour) and also more affordable.
