Which pros might be checking out or lurking on TTW?

I bet there are some pros who spend time on the road checking out TTW whether they post or not. These guys and gals spend a lot of time on the road typically alone if they are lower ranked pros. Don’t you think they might check out tennis-related forums since they are on their phones all the time and their lives revolve around tennis? Who knows - some of the social media addicted ones might be posting anonymously also. There must be some equipment nerds also, right?

Care to make some wild guesses about who might be on here? Are there any posters who seem to know enough about high-level tennis or tour gossip where they might be anonymous pros?

The answer is zero. We have time to waste. They do not.

I don’t know about pro players lurking or posting, I sure hope not because that could be ego-crushing. Off topic, though, I’m always wondering who the coaches around here are. Probably most posters know who they are, I just guess. But it’s easy to spy the tennis knowledgeable, I mean the super knowledgeable, and I enjoy their posts.

Thanks. I try to do my best.

Hi there, I’m actually Casper Ruud, just wanted to know what the racket is that Nadal uses. Then I just found this is the biggest and most reliable ressource in tennis knowledge altogether. I made my first ATP 500 title because I found out that I just don‘t need to be such a mug.
Thanks and cheers, Casp

They would more likely be preoccupied (read wasting time) on the usual social media like tiktok, instagram etc and might read a few comments on there, especially the new and recent gen players. Unlikely to be on comparatively "more" serious tennis sites.

Medvedev and a few others are into gaming. Some previous gen players like safin and gulbis were into, for lack of a better word, chasing women. Novak's preoccupied with strange beliefs like pyramid energy. Retired ones like federer, agassi, sampras are mostly done with tennis.

I think they get enough interactions from Instagram or Twitter replies. People here are just as amateur as Instagram crowd.

Most of them probably take a look, some might even post. They haven't got the time to do anything more than casual, though. Commentators and pundits are likely on here far more than the current players.

The people who say that zero players are on here are the deluded ones.

I think some of the pros might browse here from time to time. I know on GolfWRX the premier golf forum several pros post occasionally in their name and answer posts. Many Pros are students of the game and might pick up some good info here.
Pro tennis and golf are individual sports and they have a lot of alone time.

Any philosophical posters on here who might be Tsitsi? Any completely self-absorbed bullies who might be Kyrgios?

The last thing professional sportspeople do is go to forums like this in their off time. X Instagram are different as they are used for increasing their profiles and most players don't even look at comments on their feeds they just get their agents to post stuff for them.

The only established pro (former pro?) I could imagine possibly posting here would be Nick who I can envision having a nasty exchange with a twelve year old Tsitsipas fan. I say established because I recall Jason Jung posting until his results picked up and bit and then he was outta here. (y)

You're right. Time for me to fess up. I'm Lauren Davis. But I think most people on TTW figured it out. Won't be able to post much tomorrow. I'm playing the first round of Madrid against Sherif. ;)
