Which racquets have grips that seems bigger or smaller than listed?

Have you guys had experiences where the grips seem bigger or smaller than listed?

I usually play with a 4 5/8" grip but when I played with Babolat Pure Drive, 4 5/8" grip seemed too big, same with Volkl C-10 Pro, C-10 ProTour, and Tour 10. Interestingly, I thought Babolat Pure Control 4 5/8" seemed to be the correct grip size.

Also, the Yonex Rd Ti-50 Long and Yonex MP-5 seemed smaller than 4 5/8".

Do you think it's just the geometry of the grip that's making me think that it's too big or too small? Any thoughts?

I have played with Wilson and Dunlop must of my tennis life. I played with a Prince recently (which I know has a different shape). It felt smaller to me for what it's worth.

The new POGs have grips about half size bigger than usual. I compared some of my older 80s pog grips with my newer pogs and the newer ones are noticably bigger. The handle shape has changed also. The newer ones are much more square shaped compared to the older ones being slightly rectangular.

Grip sizes are all over the place with different manufactures.
I like to use a 4 3/8.
Try using a Head or TechnFibre 4 3/8. They seem like toothpicks. A 4 1/2 also seem a little small on their rackets.
Prince grips also run small, but not as small as Head or Tech.
Dunlop and Babalot seem to be a "nice" 4 3/8
Becareful before you buy because grip size is key to success and injury.

Thanks, OnyxZ28 and A_Instead. I actually use mostly Head racquets - PT280, Prestige Tour, i.Radical, Ti.Radical, etc. I always thought their racquet grip sizes were the normal ones, but perhaps, it's the Babolat and Volkl grips that are normal and Head that's smaller. :-)

I think Babolat grips run bigger than normal. I think Yonex grips run smaller than normal. Head grips seem to run just a tad small. It seems Wilson and Prince racquets run about right.

I think it has to do with the grip shape, but also how each individual company measures the grip. If you measure it closer to the butt of the racquet compared to 1 inch up on the racquet, you will get a different measure.

Okay. Now I'm confused. It seems that depending on what racquet someone normally uses, they take that as a reference racquet to use when comparing grip sizes with other racquet. Does someone know what the proper method for measuring the grip size is so I can be sure I'm actually using 4 5/8" grip on my Head racquets.

Can't you measure grips with a tape strip? I measure the circumference of mine that way and they come out as expected except for the Head PT280 MP. It's a 1/8 inch smaller than it should be.
