Which Radical MP to Buy coming from LM Radical OS?

Hi All,

I've been playing with a Head Liquidmetal Radical Oversize for several years now (18x19 pattern, 107 inch head, 11.2 oz, 3 pts HL, 330 swing weight, 3/8 grip) and its a great racquet, but I'd like to add a tweener version to the collection to experiment with.

Which one should I get/find?

The setup on my OS is I use a full bed of 18 guage poly, either Ace 18 or RPM Blast 18 @ 53 lbs. I've added some weight with a leather grip, some small amount of weight with head tape and play with a couple layers of head tape. What I like about this setup is the bite and spin I get on the ball plus at that tension and playing with an oversize it has enough trampoline on punch shots that I save a lot of passing balls hit near or at me in doubles.

So for the MPs, I've like pretty much every one I hit with as Ive demoed racquets, but want to make sure I don't lose power and I'm also a little concerned about the smaller head size. I'm hoping to gain some spin and shape on my shots, plus be more maneuverable with the smaller size. Arm comfort is also somethign i want to maintain.

So most of them are 18x20 and 98 sq inch, but the newer ones are 16x19 and there are also some random teams, pros, etc. model one offs that are 100 or 102s with 18x19. I hit yesterday with the graphene rad mP and liked the power, but not sure if it will be too stiff with poly.

What do you think would be the best fit? i don't mind camping on here or **** to find an older model.

Thanks!

2 Ideas:

From what I've heard, the IG Rad Pro is a classic. It has heft, is the first with a 16x19; but that will feel similar to the Rad OS string density. The only thing is that is a drop in size. Before the GRads, the head sizes were smaller, I think 95. Sure someone here will know.

One other idea would be to get the G Rad rev, and add weight to the handle to balance it. It's light, so putting weight on the handle won't make it too heavy too quickly. It has head mass, so once you do balance it, it will feel good from a plow through perspective. And, of all the Radicals out currently, it has the most flex.

LM Rad MP tough to beat. I now a Graphene Rad Rev bit too early to comment. Completely different stick.

Yea, I know you and some others have said that. Missed one on ****. There's another guy who has a pair of microgel team MPs which are 102 sq. inch and 16x19 for cheap that are tempting, but the grip is 1/2 and I normally use 3/8.

Let me know ho you progress with that graphene as it hit pretty nicely for me.

The Youtek version has a good rep too. Still low flex and power like Radicals used to be. Might pick one up to compare to my LM's
