2007-2013ish was probably the "peak" of the big 3/4 era. All of them were playing at such a high level, some of the matches that were played were era defining, and the rivalries that were formed have statistically been unmatched (no trio has played more times than Djokodal, Fedal and Fedovic in open era).

The Fedal era was basically Federer smoking everyone left and right while a very young version of Rafa sweeping everything on clay - and you had that on repeat for years on end just like Martina and Chrissie did from the late 70s until a much younger Graf emerged.

I'm assuming 2017-19 was the big 3 era without Murray and right now is the Djokodal era without Fedrray in action, which weren't that glamorous for the most part either. The lost gen happened and the next gen are taking longer to breakthrough than other gens prior.

I miss the Big 4 era, not just because of Sir Andy but because there was real competition and everyone was in their prime or at least close to it. 2010-13, what an era.
Yep. Add to that Berdych Ferrer Del Potro Wawrinka who all were far better than Medvedev Tsitsipas Zverev. Only Thiem of this current generation would be comfortable with the Delpos and wawrinkas etc.

I think 2007/08 to 2013/14 is closest thing we have in the modern age to a golden era. Perhaps 08-12 if you want to be particularly exclusive. That's the real big 4 era, I guess. So I'll go with that.

None really but if I had to pick it'd be Federer and Nadal 2005-2009.

Murray was nice as a spoiler but that’s about it. He never really interested me

I prefer Stan and Ferrer personally
