Each one of us can mention our favorite player and rank in order the slams we would like to see them win most at this point. It could simply be because it's our personal favorite slam or it could also be because it would be more special for that player's career.

I'll start with Rafael Nadal who is currently with:
9 FO, 2 WB, 2 USO, 1 AO

To me the order of slams in terms of what I'd like to see him win next is:

1. French Open - Although some haters try to use RG against him claiming that his resume is "clay skewed", it's purely nonsense. To me I'd like to see him win another RG more than any other slam because a 10th title would be such an epic number. La Decima would perhaps become the most iconic accomplishment in all of tennis history, if not all of sports.

2. Australian Open - I think this is the slam I'd like to see him win most after RG because he's only won it once and it would give him a double career slam. That being said, the one time he won there it was in an epic final against one of the hardcourt Goats Federer so there are no regrets.

3. Wimbledon - Rafa was such an excellent grass court players winning 2 titles / 5 finals in a span of a few years, including the greatest tennis final in the history of our sport against one of the grass Goats Federer. In recent years he's struggled there due to many factors, so I think another win there would be epic because nobody would expect it. Yet he won a grass title in 2015 and I think that at Wimbledon if he manages to survive the first week then the court conditions will suit him better in the 2nd week.

4. US Open - Rafa has already won 2 USO including 2 times in the final against one of the hardcourt Goats Djokovic. I feel that he has nothing to prove there and although it would be amazing to win a 3rd title there, it feels to me a little less special in terms uniqueness of he moment in terms of his career. But it would be amazing nonetheless.

Now please share the order of the slams that you'd like to see your favorite player win next.

For Federer..

2017 AO -- Because it will give him the 18th slam, a perfect start to 2017 season
2017 FO -- Deny the La Decima, make it ever more difficult, also complete the double career GS
2017 WO -- 8th title.
2017 USO -- CYGS. Makes him the undeniable GOAT.

But if you could choose only 1 slam win, which one would it be? a 5th AO, a 2nd RG, an 8th WB or a 6th USO?

That'd be a second RG. You know why ;) :p

Cause Rafa would be injured that year so Federer would vulture it again? ;) :p

But I agree that a double career slam (and also at least 2 slams on each surface) would be the best for Roger. I'd say a record 8th Wimbledon would be next, then a record 6th USO would follow. I feel that a 5th AO would make the less impact in terms of uniqueness for him.

He he.. At this point, I don't think Fed himself would bother how it comes. On a serious note though, a double career GS sounds cool than a 8th Wimbly. He has enough of them anyway. I'd love a second RG first or a USO. Coz next to the Golden trophy, the Silver Trophy was a beauty in his hands. Its a surprise that he couldn't win at least one after the DelPo after being so strong there to go 5-in a row

Wimbledon - would be a record 8th title --> grass court goat
Roland Garros - Double Career Grand Slam
US Open - 6th title, another record
Australian Open - not as prestigious (for him at least), no records. Still, would be lovely to see him win another one, no matter where

Federer:

1.) Wimbledon....8th Wimbledon title...puts his ahead of Sampras and that British dude. Both Open and Pre Era.
2.) US Open....6th title puts ahead of Connors, and Pete Sampras in the Open era.
3.) French Open...2nd title would just be wonders for Clay resume. 2nd Best CC for a few years against Nadal.
4.) AO....if there was no Novack....would put this higher. As all this does is tie him with Nole in number of AO titles.

Djokovic has 6 AO titles and if Federer wins 1 more he'll have 5, so it won't be a tie. However, winning another AO would make Federer the only man to hold 5+ titles at three GS which would be really hard to equal considering that Roger's currently the only man to hold 4+ titles at 3 GS.

Thiem:
FO - because it would be so natural and obvious win for him, which would give huge confidence in GS winning road
USO - I think he likes those courts the most
AO
Wimby
