I have heard two ridiculous statements over the past couple of months and the two are actually on very different topics:
Statement 1 (about movies): Megamind vs The Doom Syndicate (2024) is a better movie than the original Megamind (2010)
Statement 2 (about tennis): Carlos Alcaraz is a better tennis player than Jannik Sinner

Now, obviously, both statements are preposterous!
Anyone who has seen both the original Megamind movie and the sequel would never be able to enjoy even a minute of the sequel, let alone say with a straight face that it is somehow BETTER than the original film!! With a rating of only 6% from Rotten Tomatoes, Megamind vs the Doom Syndicate is unanimously considered a terrible film. The plot is so weak and rushed, the new villains are totally boring and generic, the movie completely derails Megamind's original character, making a complete joke of all the things that made the original movie great. The original Megamind movie is just so incomparably superior to this garbage sequel, it's not even debatable.

On the other hand, we now know that Jannik Sinner will end up being the most accomplished tennis player of all time. He will, without a shadow of doubt, break Djokovic's Grand Slam record, Masters record, Weeks at #1 record, Year-End #1 record, ATP Finals record and more. Sinner is also looking literally unbeatable at the moment. In all my years of watching tennis, even including 2006 Federer and 2011 Djokovic, I have never seen any tennis player look as unbeatable as Sinner in 2025. However, the same definitely cannot be said about Alcaraz. Ever since Wimbledon (where he almost lost to Tiafoe despite being in a perfectly healthy condition), he has been accumulating losses to either random unseeded players or a 37 year old veteran.
At the Olympics, on CLAY, Alcaraz lost in straight sets to a 37 year old Djokovic coming back from a knee surgery. Compare this to Sinner destroying a perfectly healthy Djokovic at the AO, Djokovic's best tournament.
In Cincinnati, Alcaraz lost to a 37 year old Monfils. Compare this to Sinner beating peak Zverev to win the whole title.
At the USO, Alcaraz lost in straight sets to Van de Zandschulp. Compare this to Sinner destroying Medvedev, Draper and Fritz in a row to win the whole title.
At the ATP Finals, Alcaraz lost in straight sets to Rublev and Zverev. Compare this to Sinner winning the whole event without dropping a set, making him the first man to do so since Ivan Lendl over 30 years ago.
At the AO, Alcaraz lost in four sets to a nearly 38 year old injured Djokovic. Compare this to Sinner destroying Zverev, who had just beaten Djokovic to make the finals, to win the whole event!
Well, you see how this is going. Jannik Sinner is undoubtedly the better player, and Alcaraz should not be spoken in the same league as Sinner. There is no "Sincaraz," there never was and never will be. Only one of them is great. The other one is just a small man (literally, because Sinner is 192 cm tall and Alcaraz is only 183 cm)

Are you a Carota Boy? Paid material ought to come with a warning in the title. :p

Right now tennis coaches will be masterminding the Sinner antidote. It’ll be released in about four or five years.
Sinners two hc slams a year up to that point won’t cut it to be goat.
